Removing panels?

Morning all!
I'm new to the Forza scene, I've been riding sports bikes for over 20 years but a new job with a bot of a commute ended up with me buying a 2015 Forza!
So, my question. It came with the budget Oxford heated grips with just the high/low switch and the right grip doesn't heat.
I've spent ages trying to trace the wiring through to find the connector plug to take a continuity reading from the grip but can't work out how to get the panels off!
I've removed the glovebox covers - nothing. also the battery cover doesn't reveal any wiring. I'm assuming that pulling one of the side panels off may show something but how do they come off?
Any advice appreciated!

Thanks for the link, some useful stuff there, hopefully the later model is similar to mine in deconstruction!

i have a 2014 and a lot of the plastic tabs are brittle. They break quite easily. The plastic rivets also break easily.

You want to take things apart in a warm place.

I replaced a lot of the plastic rivets with u-nuts and sheet metal roofing screws. The kind with rubber grommets.

I presume you have fixed the problem by now. I would have taken the windshield off.

The 2018 is completely different from the 2015 Forza 300 for body panels.

Thanks davenowherejones.
I never did work out how to remove them, but fortunately discovered that whoever fitted the grips must have struggled in the same way as I discovered that they'd simply removed that circular cover that goes around the forks and stuffed all the connectors down there!
New grip fitted and everything working fine again now 8)
