Sky finally cleared here so that we could see the Christmas Star in the SW sky just as predicted.
This planetary conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn is pretty cool to see.

We walked down to the corner and saw it over the neighbor's house.

Cleaning the lights and getting the LIKE gassed up for tomorrow's coffee outing. Plan to leave especially early to get some photos before snow and very cold temps move in.

Nice photo's, to bad for us here in the Netherlands it's been cloudy and raining a few days now, and so we'll have to wait some odd 800 years to see Jupiter and Saturn together like this.

The weather forecast isn't looking good for a white Christmas this year maybe some wet snow but with temperatures around 10°C [50°F] that won't last long on the ground.
I miss the winters in Michigan with the white Christmases, and envy you guys for that.....

I think I saw it but I'm not sure.

I looked around but what I did see was more to the South than the Southwest . . . but definitely Southwest in general terms.

The moon was also shining bright to the right of it as I observed in early evening on Monday.

I should have grabbed my telescope . . ..

Whatever it was it definitely stood out.

For the rest of my life I can grin knowing I may have seen it.
