Issue fan didint turn on when overheating.

Trouble shooting process.
The fan works when powered by a 12v battery.
So wanted to check if its a relay is the issue so I bypassed the sensor but the fan didn't work. So I jumped the connectors to the battery on the bike directly, accidentally I placed one wire on the - and the other on the +, forgot the ground the -. When I did that the positive + terminal on the battery sparked, not sure if that stupid move damaged the ECU or a stuck relay? Now the fan only turns on when the temperature sensor plug is unplugged. Is this normal?

First double check the circuit. By testing first unplug temp sensor, short the temp sensor wiring harness. . If fan goes on then circuit ok. if doesnt back circuit and relay and temp sensor and fuse.

Btw this normal on forza's the fan to run when the ignition switch is turned on and temperature sensor plug is unplugged?

If you think about it logically, when the ECU isn't getting coolant temperature information so can only guess what the actual temperature is, the safest thing to do is turn the fan on in case the temperature is too high.

But the temp level does increase and reduce. So relay?
