How about $20?

I'm going to talk up this little Panasonic Lumix FH-20 digital pocket camera (slips easily into a shirt or riding jacket pocket)
A good camera for less than $50 ? Yep!....buy a reconditioned one, or lightly used one from a seller with 100% feedback on ebay, yard sale, or pawn-shop, etc.
These cameras have been around for years - a new/new one can't be found.

I'm kinda rough on cameras....cold fingers, wet fingers, gloved fingers, dodging roadside traffic, on tripods in the middle of Rt. 68, and one smashed when my LIKE's muffler fell on it....ect., etc! Haven't yet dropped one in the Gulf of Mexico....but have tried.

Anyway... to prolong the life of a rather pricey camera - I just bought two more of my fav little pocket cameras for my scooter rides. Total price for two perfect condition used cameras was $56.

Photos here, of one FH-20, are taken with the other FH-20. (these 2 join the one I have, still working, held together with a rubber bands for past 2 yrs - my right-seater dropped it)






The above is the $20 camera.....Not a mark on either of the cameras and all functions work perfectly.

You don't need an expensive camera (or $700 cell phone!!) to take OK pictures.

*Don't you hate those billet mirror extenders!! I sure did. Mirrors from a CB500X fixed it, perfectly.

What can the Panasonic FH-20 do?
Can be tripod mounted, timed shutter release, video, sound, 25 different scene modes or just leave it on Intelligent Auto, forced flash on or off, rechargeable battery, manual over-rides, wrist strap (ha-ha), takes SanDisks cards, plus small built-in memory, micro-able, zooms, play-back vids and photos on the screen, etc.

Main thing is....try a good used digital camera from a reputable seller. Don't pay big bucks for a camera OR a cell phone to get decent photos.
and, ahhhh...use the wrist strap.

- Image stabilization, and it stops your Bic pen from rolling away.

I'm impressed with the 14.1 MP.

Of course you can always take photos using less file space for easier downloading if you choose.

I have found that my inexpensive Kodak camera has been all that I needed for many years.

Then I had an idea after seeing video taken on bikes that are using the expensive GoPro Hero Action Cams. I looked online for a knockoff to try for $25. I am still impressed with it. I have it stored right now since I am not riding.

When I rode my bike to our new house from our old one, an hour's ride, I used an old dash cam that I have instead...mainly because I couldn't find the Hero knockoff one (which was packed up for the move).

there are older models that are being sold cheaper as well..

i might have to see if i can find one my cheap wal mart camera while it works take less than good pictures has everyone here knows

Fujifilm are generally top quality.

I like my Canon Powershot A1400. Takes great photos and also has a viewfinder in addition to the screen which makes a lot easier to see and frame the shot on bright sunny days. I use the view finder almost always.
