Changed my own oil for the first time

Oil went smoothly but I had to guess on tourqe as I don't own a torque wrench. However, when I tried to open the 17mm screen bolt the edges started chipping away and stripping the bolt so I just left it for now.
Any idea how I can safely open it and order a replacement bolt?
Anyone near Columbus Ohio able to assist?

Isn't the scooter shop still open in Columbus? Saw it online not many months ago.
Only use a socket or wrench which has the same number of sides as that drain cap.
Replacements, if you get it off should be avail. at most scooter shops...and plenty on ebay for a few $.
Might be advisable to get it off once, for cleaning. After that some don't touch it again.

That oil drain plug is tricky. Only use a socket to try to get the bolt off, and if it starts slipping when you try to turn it, put your other hand on top of the socket as you try to turn it. You end up in a weird position, but you only have to do this the first time...they overtighten it at the factory.
I believe the replacement part number for the bolt is: 90131-883-000
... or: 90131-896-650
There are 2 part numbers for that bolt, as can be seen in the right crankcase diagram (item #14).
