I have another issue (Dear me!) where if my seat is open, i cannot turn ignition to lock or start positions.
Once i have closed my seat, i can turn ignition dial to any position and can start my bike. Is that normal?

Yes, it's supposed to do that.

Ok, thanks for the help, i thought there was some issue with my key or ignition dial.
