When you import to the us, you have problems in many states with registration, warrantee is affected, and parts supply may not be 100%…

Hi @Newbie, and welcome to the forum,

1. How is the front fork upgrade. Is it softer with the YSS when driving over small road bumps or small potholes, or is is even harder/stiffer?

2. The windshield: Is it fix, or still adjustable in height? When driving on bad roads, does it rattle the same as the original?

3.The AIR HAWK CUSHION. There are several styles/models. Which one do you use. I'm worried the seating position could get too high and it could be difficult to get my feet on the ground as the forza seat is pretty wide. What is your expirience with that cushion at all?

Thank you

1. Firstly, I am a heavy bloke and the standard forks are pants city to put it politely. Mine sagged when sat on and, I'm sure, bottomed out too easily, causing severe jarring. Not good for me or the bike. Also, they were becoming worse quickly, they had to be sorted
The upgrade has improved things a lot. It now sags very little with my weight. It doesn't dive so much, and not bottomed out at all so far and the ride is much improved
I have only fitted this recently, so only done a couple of rides so far, but, I am confident they are a definite improvement

2. The GIVI windscreen is still fully adjustable. With it set right down, it is about as high s the original at its highest, therefore, is approx 4 inches (100mm) higher than the original, when raised. Also the GIVI is a little wider too
I don't recall any rattling with the GIVI or the original.

3. It is the Cruiser Medium, seems the perfect size. Only let down is the straps and cover, but, IMHO, its better overall
You can go further before the posterior hurts, before the barrier was about 50 miles. I find it increases the ride height very slightly, but, I find that actually helps my legs feeling quite so cramped. My feet still reach the ground, one side might be more on tip toe. If you want to do distance its worth having imho

thanks for the reply, i will go for the Airhawk, as i am doing a lot of long distance trips.

i am still looking for a more convenient suspension. Which suspension for the Forza 2018 feel soft and cosy like that one of an Africa Twin. Such a sofa feeling on the Forza would be the perfect bike.

Of course its up to you, but, the YSS kit has adjustment and you could leave the spacer out and or put in lighter oil etc

Look it up, the other option if the expensive Ohlins kit

Hi Forzy,

I like the look of the sat nav. Did it come with the mounts or did you have to find these elsewhere? Also how did you connect the power lead, I assume into the glove box with the 12v connector?

Cheers for any info

Mike

Hi Mike
The TomTom Rider 550 Premium comes with an assortment of fittings including a ant theft attachment
I got the mount on ebay Here and modified t a little since that photo as it was vibrating too often and need its position altered a little, it is much improved now
My Honda dealer did the power supply, its only live with the ignition on, dont know where they connected, but the power socket is still free
I will try and get some updated photos

PS I have found what might be a better mount Here It mounts in a similar way
