Gas in Winter

Hi,
My buddy is a small plane pilot. At his hanger they have fuel that is leaded with no added ethanol. He uses it in his small engines and his Chinese scooter. He says it's good for smaller engines such as my 49cc Ruckus and 150 PCX. He also states without the ethanol it is a good gas to use during the winter when I am not driving the scooters much.
Has anyone had experience with this as concerns the PCX? Is this something I should run through my bike? It is more expensive than regular gas but the airport is right down the street from me so very accessable.

By all means, do it! Ethanol free gas is easier on seals and gaskets, and has a somewhat higher BTU/gal (or Kw/L or whatever the metric equivalent is). Considering the PCX mileage, the cost is pretty much irrelevant. My '13 PCX manual (pg 104) mentions that damage caused by oxygenated fuels (IE w ethanol) is not covered under warranty. Check the attached PDF.

I would be somewhat leery burning leaded fuel in your PCX.
Gums up your catalytic converter and oxygen sensor.

I'd shoot an email to HONDA first, and ask them.
We all mean well.....nevertheless. ...

Oooh.... I did not pick up on the "leaded" part. I did not think that was even available to planes any more.

I'm pretty sure he said it was leaded but I'll double check. Thanks for the feedback.
