Is there going to be another evolution of the Honda PCX 150 soon? Will it feather a V-Tech 4 Valve engine with more power and efficiency? :o

Time will tell . . .. ;)

It's either "fake news" or perhaps there is something to it. Check out the link below for the article dated one day ago. :geek:

A more competitive PCX to challenge the NMax 155? 8)

Needs more cubes rather than valves.
200cc, 20ish bhp and it would be the absolute dog's danglies.

It was mentioned that the reason for that is to comply to the Euro 5 Emission standard. Stated that it will make the PCX more fuel efficient, produce cleaner emissions and add more powel in the higher rpm range.

They should prioritize putting rear and front ABS first, imo.

I for one prefer the 150cc size of the engine as it's a good balance between fuel economy and power. I think the Vtech would be a great addon to make the engine even better. I hope that honda brings it to the US market.

I think the Grom/Cub/Monkey 125 uses a 4 valve head. Wonder if that's where the tech is coming from.

I think likewise. It is necessary to increase efficiency and durability on the basis of 150 cm3.

The Grom engine is two valve.
The Forza 125 introduced in 2015 has a four valve head, if the PCX was getting a four valve head it would probably have happened already.

No idea where I got the idea the Grom was 4 valve, but you're absolutely correct. Also, it's interesting that the PCX125 has that tech and the 150 doesn't. Cost saving?

No, it’s a twicle tweeny weeny cheap engine on a cheap bike. Put an extra two unnecessary valves on it and you might be the the first to complain about the tweeny weeny price increase.
