Whether or not you are still working, try to get out on your scooter or motorcycle tomorrow to show our numbers on Ride to Work Day. This is good way to raise awareness of car and truck drivers to the presence of scooters and motorcycles.

Thanks for the reminder . . ..

I'm not getting a job either . . . have all I can do to keep up with the house chores.

Besides I'd fail the "old and ugly" test at and interview. LOL!!!

Here's a couple of pics from a ride I took to "Marcus Dairy" back in late 2001. It's been a mecca and gathering place for motorcyclists for years and years. See the link to the information about it too. Sadly I don't think it's in business anymore. I think it was demolished to make way for a shopping center or something in 2011.

I'll make an effort to put some miles on the XMax tomorrow morning. Sun in the forecast. Just turned 600 miles on it today. It's supposed to rain Tuesday so maybe I'll change the oil/filter/final drive lube then instead. Win win so-to-speak. :D

Well I showed up but the plant was closed . . ..

Seriously though, these pics are of the old R. R. Donnelley printing company building in Old Saybrook, CT as it looks this very day. It closed down a number of years ago but some floor space is still rented on the other side. If you've ever heard of "Life" magazine then this is where that and other periodicals were printed. It was in an excellent location with access to rail and major trucking routes. A lot of mortgages were paid and a lot of families were raised on the paychecks that were issued there. :geek:

Here's a link to the story about the company and the closing . . ..

Just because I'm a contrary git, today I took the car.
Glad I did because it absolutely hosed down on the way home.
Back on the bike tomorrow.

It must surely be sunny where you are today because it's pouring cats and dogs here!
