Sign's of spring.
That's what I want for my 80th. (or sooner)
I see 2 non Black and Decker 4bbl's. Was that tire or exhaust smoke?
We had a bit of snow today. So tired of winter.

NADman, his tail pipe was smokin' Not his tires! Carb(s)?
No burnouts. No rubber left behind. I guess at 81 he's being conservative. Wished I had seen "that" though. Thems are some tires!...Mickey T's? I Dunno
But Loved the Deep Dish Chrome Wheels!!

Short Story - Deal or No Deal?
Back in the late 60's I'd spend a lot of time cleaning/polishing the deep dish chromes on my souped up Javelin - ya see Pop wouldn't let me buy the AMX. Too much power, he said.
Haha...Before buying the Javelin I put money down on a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 (he was at work). I was Sooo Frickin' Excited!!!! Then I told my parents. Had to. Pop took me right back to the dealer and killed the deal. That was a car of my dreams (next to the GTO 8) and my Very first Car.
I didn't talk to him for days!!

It was on the showroom floor and Looked just like this, same color "Forest Green" with dual band White Stripes front/rear

Absolutely awesome car! I got a ride in a '69 a few times. It had the "cowl induction". Automatic but when you stomped on the pedal it opened up and that thing hauled. My girlfriend's brother in law had one. It looks like the one in your picture had cowl induction also.

Too bad you weren't allowed to keep it. They don't make 'em like that anymore. 8)

In '70 I bought a '69 SS 396 4spd from an airline "stewardess" with 300 miles on it for $1800. 3 months wages at the time. HA
She said she was never home and was 'afraid' to drive it. Looking through Images, I was surprised I couldn't find a single image
of a Butternut yellow one with the BB insignia on the front fender. This is close and brings back a lot of memories.

"Mirror Mirror on the Lambroghini"
This past Friday I parked near THIS!
You can see my truck in the pass door.
As I took the pics I expected to hear: "Step Away From The Vehicle, You Have Been Warned!!" o_O Sounding off a Screamin' Banshee!

Check out those tags. Ya think he won the Lottery?

What'a this?
These 4 wheels pulled out of a side street in front of me. I mean, I've seen toys like this but never rolling around town. I did catch sight of big #'s painted on both sides. Only got a glimpse of that. So pick a number

Why would I take a snapshot of a moving coffin? o_O
Let's call it a Canoe? :D

Out this morn running errands traveling down the same road (that I was on the other day), when I saw that Blue #'d "Canoe" (pic above).

So now I'm at that very same location, when lo and behold one is coming at me (2way road/single lanes) then he rumbles past me. It's a different colored "Canoe!"
This one Red and I got to see the #9 on his side panel as he past me.
No chance of a pic this time. Dang, I didn't see that coming! Weekend coffee traffic :x

Now I'm checking out at the stationary store and mention it to the store owner.
He frowns looks up, squints....replies, "a race car? Hence the #'s?" Then shakes his head.

2 in one week! same area. What are the Odds?
Oh well, guess I'm getting closer to knowing

Saw this at the gas station/mart this past week. Looks like a home made buggy of sorts?
NADman...what say you? Anyone else know?
The driver was inside the mart, I did NOT go inside and he never came out o_O Anywho....

It sure does look cool. :D

I don't think I'd want to drive it in the rain though.

A relic of the past when safety was a pain in the neck and fun was full on!!! 8)

That was a throwback Fun video - Rugby Shirts included!! Who didn't wear one back in the day? I think mine was lime green and royal blue stripes or was it rust and light blue? They called that "Collegiate," but we also had the "Greaser's" the "Squares" and the "Hippie's"

About that buggy, I didn't get too close but did notice the steering wheel. It's Big and in the Middle of the floor. Seems odd. So I pictured a High wrap around bench seat where you shift yer arse around to drive it! Or maybe you just stand and walk around it to steer  Wait! Just saw those cables stabilizing the windshield while driving. Now "that's a Mel thing!" Am I wrong Mel?
Re: the trunk? I'd paint it

About the "ride," them front tires are real skinny. Hit a pothole and ? Has Spoke wheels too.
Cruising through Long Island towns will catch eyes, it'll get their attention :P and meet folks - Fun!
After I took this photo, someone else stepped up to it's bumper admiring it.
"Only the beginning, only just the Start...."

Working in the garden, spied this dragonfly. My nose was perhaps 6” from his nose. He just sat there and watched me photograph him.

Nature is so beautiful!

Bats and dragon flies are highly underrated. Skunks too!!!

Great pics!

I don't see the problem letting the squirrels eat at the feeder although they do compete with the birds. I think it builds good Karma. :D

Some pics I took today on an XMax Adventure. :D

It was hot and humid to say the least but the traffic wasn't too bad at all. That said I did have to do about 10 miles on some grooved pavement for awhile but got off that as soon as I could.

The views are of the Connecticut River from the Old Lyme shores and a few more around North Cove in Old Saybrook. Needless to say I hydrated right after I got home. :geek:
