My little ladies would like to say Happy New Year to everyone.

There is Miss Dina, whom you have seen in my avatar :

Then there is Miss Pepper. She is 11 years old and only has 7 teeth left, but she loves everyone:

And then there is our old lady, Miss Katie. She is 15 (almost the exact same age as my Butch Cassidy who died in October. They were very close to each other. She still is not over him.)

Pepper is so afraid of fireworks that once it started she shook with fear and even holding her did not slow it down. We put her in her travel crate and she backed into a corner and stayed there. Eventually the noise was so bad that she peed in the crate from fear.

When we rescued her 3 years ago we had to drive from Atlanta to the Carolinas, within a few miles of the Virgina border and the coast. She was a breeder dump after she couldn't be used any more. She was so sick that the vet, when we got her back to our vet, was afraid that she might not make it through the surgeries and teeth extractions...but she did. Now she is a happy little dog, except when the fireworks go off. I have to wonder what the previous owners did to cause such fear in her.

That would definitely apply for Jack Russell Terriers. They all think they are Rottweilers. We have to remind them that they are not as big as they think. One of ours wants to "play" with a cat down the street. What is funny about that is that the cat is a Maine Coon and out weighs her by 5 or 6 pounds on its worst day.
