Of the two you posted, I like the sound and look of the Leovince. Both are S.S., so that's good.

But...be careful jojo, Not only will you drown out yer pesty noise but All noise about you. :? We tend to forget that part. Me? I always loved the sound of a louder exhaust (hot rod kid/adult here) :D but there are Definitely sounds/noises that Should be Heard whilst we operate a motor bike.
;) You know, life outside the helmet. Ambulance, train, bus, fire truck, police, ahh maybe a vehicle coming tooo close to you! How about kids playing roadside...maybe between cars, trucks, or buses. Dogs barking and racing right at you! I'm sure the odds are smaller than my worries, But! it only takes One Time for That One Important Noise to be Heard that you could save yerself.

Gosh, I Hate being a party pooper!! :x I Do Love Loud Exhausts! They get my adrenaline going and it brings back great memories of great times with my hot rod friend's!

Up to you of course. Just keep ^ in mind. (To bad there's no volume control thumb wheel :D )

Anyone else hearing the familiar rattle noise here ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfAxJFiB_qw
Or I'm just getting paranoid

But seriously... thats exactly the same rattle I recorded on my PCX. I'm dying to know what causes it on the new Honda bikes.

jojo87 wrote:I'm not sure what to do with mine... (rattle when the throttle is pulled)

the Dealers I actually bought it off (Hunts) had told me that the Dealers that had the Bike (Thunder Road) have told them that there was no problem before or after the Service, i'm guessing they meant after the replacement parts went in.... yet when I got it back, the Bike sounded exactly the same, even though Thunder Road told me that they had 2 specialists ride it and they said it was running as it should :-/ so again, what was the point in the 5 weeks and replacement parts, as it's exactly the same as before they had it!

I've also asked about a replacement but Hunts just say that Honda will contact me directly and to take it back to Thunder Road, if Thunder Road admitted to hearing the rattle between 25-35mph and actually kept it in for 5 weeks to replace parts and so on, but sent it back to me exactly the same way and are now telling Hunts that it's running as it should, then I don't see the point in Thunder Road having it again, they obviously don't know what they're looking for, and even admitted they aren't sure where the noise is coming from....

I'm probably just left to doing what I was originally going to do and buy a louder Exhaust to drown out the rattle, but still trying to look for a decent sounding Exhaust at a decent price, seen a lot for around £200, I don't want to be paying more than that just to drown out a noise, fair enough I want a louder Exhaust anyway as I think the ones on the Honda are too quiet, especially in my area with Cars pulling out on me etc and some saying they didn't see/hear me, it's just getting annoying!

Only 2 I can find for the 125cc 2015 model for around £200:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361201189671? ... EBIDX%3AIT

Your not happy. Cut your losses and sell your bike and get another

Are you serious? I cannot believe...I heard all the best for Honda bikes but this really makes me angry.

I bought new 2014 PCX125 few days ago. Going home, after few kilometers I heard really strange sound or noise, pretty irritatingly jingling (buzzing) under steering wheel. It is happening when I keep throttle constant about 50-60 km/h (~30mph). When I low or rise speed there is nothing.
I went back to dealership and in their service told me that it is nothing and it is only combine break spring is buzzing. They stretched it a bit and I heard nothing few kilometers, and it started buzzing again. Went back to them, they did the same but it was not help.
I'm fighting with them to replace that part with new one, but they want first to contact Honda to ask for their opinion.

I'm really surpris that a lot of PCX (and now CB300F) there are the same problem and they do nothing to fix it.

I like my PCX, its pretty, cheep, easy to drive, enough fast for my appetites and needs...and I dont want to ask for my money back from dealershep, I would so happy to solve this "problem", and enjoy 100% riding.

Same, between 25-35mph I hear it more, but it's always there, Bike could be parked up for a week and i'll go on it nd it'll be there straight away, when im on it non stop for an hour or 2, it gets really annoying, you'd think you'd get used to it on a long ride but it's just constant and you already notice it especially at those speeds....

What did they actually say it was? which part is it exactly?
as my Dealers stripped the engine and then replaced the the crankshaft!
if I have something else to suggest to them, maybe they can do this....

I dont think it is caused by the radiator fan. At least not in my case. My sound was coming from behind the radiator so the first thing they have checked on my PCX was whole radiator. And they found nothing. I got swapped pretty much every moving part except insides of the motor. So I believe it is coming from inside of the motor.

I dont want to start flame here but Im so glad I get rid of Honda ... and I will never buy this brand again. Obviously their quality went down along with their prices. I'm looking to buy some used adventure bike and for example 2011 Suzuki V-strom costs much more used than a new similar model from Honda.

But don 't get me wrong ... Honda WAS really one of the most reliable brands. But it seems they are starting to benefit just from the good name of the brand achieved long time ago ... like Toyota.

For every single bad Honda, their must be lots of good ones. I mean if it helps I will send anyone footage and audio of mine so they can show a dealer a "normal" version of the sound a PCX makes. Just tell me where you want the audio from.

Baring that have a UK meetup and bring the noisy ones down and we can all compare and talk and discuss.

Did the noise affect in any way the functionality of the bike?

I really have no idea how to say that in English, but they told me that spring of combined break is buzzing, I dont know how it looks like but I think something like this: https://www.google.rs/search?q=combine+ ... VyCh0QeQHf

They tried to tighten it but it was not help...
They asked Honda directly for this problem, I can't wait to hear their opinion. Of course, I'll share it with you :)'

My personal opinion is that this problem is about throttle grip or some part related to throttle. Simply, I'm driving about 50km/h (or more) with constant speed, and in the moment I open or close a bit throttle, buzzing disappeared, and when I keep constant speed (constant opened throttle) again, it's start again :?

I was really surprised I saw it happens on CB300F, it's really something wrong with Honda...I they do not solve this, my next bike won't be Honda for sure. Maybe, Honda is good with cb600 or cb1000, but this smaller bikes definitely have a problem...

Nope, fortunately everything rest works perfect (in my case).

Out of interest does the SH125i suffer from the dreaded rattle?

When I finally decided to buy the PCX it was after months of debating the pros and cons between the PCX and the SH125i. I went for the PCX purely because it looked so much more motorbike than obvious scooter. I had considered buying a Suzuki Address before switching to Honda. After I bought the PCX I discovered the Yamaha Trincity 3 wheel scooter which I liked but admit it was a minimum £700 pounds more expensive.

I really like the PCX but I'm becoming paranoid every time I take it out and I'm sure mine has a buzzing sound at around 20 to 30 mph. In under 100 miles time it has its first service, I'll mention it to the dealer.

It is so disappointing that Honda has created a superbly capable and great looking scooter but ultimately could be let down by a serious flaw. I would have to think twice before buying another Honda.

Amen to that.

Thats a partial reason why I'm planning to buy a full sized motorbike and not another scoot. There is simply nothing else like PCX for me among scooters. Maybe a Forza 125 but it is overpriced and it is Honda ...

FINALY!

It seams that I solved this stupid buzzing.

Since my bike is still under warranty, I left it in Honda service until they solve this.
As they told me, they changed some spring of brake under steering.
For now it's OK, I'm driving 3 days from service. We will see.

I think the noise is from the front of mine too,
do you know what part it was exactly, or if anyone else knows on here what bit it could be?
just so I can email the Dealers with a detailed description.
