I like Cage the Elephant, didn't recognize the song. That's awesome he got to play with them.

I hope your nephew goes on and has lots of success. :D

Thanks Dave. Very Exciting times for sure :)

Here's a piece of my oldie guitar (late 60's 70's). I got it while selling some goods at a flea market. I sold enough to buy this from another vendor. I've never mastered it so no pro, I strum around. I prefer others play while I sing :D

 Hmmm....NO? musicians out there in PCX Land? Really?
Alrighty then, I guess I'm what they call a "One Man Band" :D (Boring!)

On that note, I will share a photo of some of me music gear:
A mid 60's guitar strap, the (Koch, German made) harmonica I spoke of earlier along w/it's 25 cent 1967 instruction booklet (WOW! What costs 25 cents today?) o_O

I'm still unpacking a few things here and there and came across these today.
I stared at the drumsticks wondering, where did these come from? Then I remembered they came with an electronic drum kit that I got as a gift back in the '80's? Question was, where are the drums? Another day, another box to unveil

A Kazoo  Who hasn't played a Kazoo? I bought a few dozen for a New Years party in the 80's. We all played them to Auld Lang Syne o_O I'd like to see a tape of that. We were ripe and full of laughter. Fun Times!

Reviving this older thread in hopes that instruments aren't a thing of the past. That electronical gadgets and gizmo's haven't taken over, that you're still strummin' your guitar and beating your drums. Even blowing yer Kazoo. I'm talking, "Real" Instruments!

I ran across a video today while deleting a few saved websites in my iPad. Hel-lo? This young man amazes me. Watch the vid, you'll see what I mean.
(Truth...I can't even hold a pair of Chopsticks!! )

I won't ask him this. Ok, I will...
Do you play an instrument? "Why yes I do but Better to ask me, Which "one" I don't" :D

Bought a Fender Strat (Candy Apple red) and a Deluxe Reverb at the Soho Soundhouse in London around '82. It replaced the Hagstrom Swede I had.
Haven't really played much in years.

A friend got this for his wife some years ago. She never used it and it was given to me, new in box.
Thought I'd have a 'try' at it this winter but it hasn't happened yet.

Nice keyboard.

I've got a couple of Yamaha keyboards that I bought for one of my daughters when she was young and she did take lessons and can play piano rather well. They still work fine after about 30 years.

Years ago my parents were offered a free upright piano, a Kimball, and now I have it.

For years I've played percussion. Still have my set of Slingerlands from the '60s.

More recently I purchased a Fender Squire Telecaster. Very good quality. Not nearly as expensive as the genuine article but still very good and with a better amp it would sound terrific.

One of my retirement goals was to teach myself keyboard and guitar. I've been so caught up in other stuff right now I just haven't gotten to it. But it will happen . . ..

I suspect my next tour will be with Jimi and Stevie Ray Vaughn...

Nice collection!! Guitar and Bass for me. Keyboards, just basic chords and to pick out melodies.
