Mel46 said....So what do you guy's kids think of you riding bikes? Ours think we have gone nuts. They let their kids sit on them for pictures but they won't get near them. I think it is funny. We are out there enjoying ourselves and they are worrying. I kind of remember when they were teenagers and they were out there having fun and we were worried about them!
Mel...you are 100% correct..Loads of pics of grandson sitting on the Forza but my direct offspring wont go near it and they think I am nuts!!..(maybe they are right!)...( but my wife who also wont go on it is really supportive)...and I wish I had a £5 for every guy I meet who when hearing I have a bike immediately wants to tell me about all the dreadful fatal motorbike accidents they have heard of so they would never get on one...when I ask them if (1) they are trying to cheer me up or (2) that means they never drive their car on a motorway ( cause there are loads of fatal accidents there) they look slightly puzzled....Of course there are risks...there are risks in everything...and some riders will increase the risk by doing daft things...thats life....I have just given up even trying to explain to these STUPID arrogant people......rant rant!!

~WINTER 2015~
This photo taken out back this morning with half-an-eye open. Did I want to wake to this? No. Our weatherman predicted "a dusting of snow around 9am that will disrupt morning commuters." Okay. Whatever. Not commuting (unless I truck over to Harborfreight
)
Done chatting. Off to clean my White truck
There's Red under there somewhere

What happens when the wooden posts supporting your house deteriorates? Just asking because any external wood around here only has a five year life no matter how it is treated. So you wouldn't obviosly support a building on it

Wooded deck not supporting the building. Built adjacent to the building.

Thank you 2yous
You have seen this scene before whilst it was snowing heavily out. You thought the homes were on stilts then.
It's the decks Only that are propped up so high. Homes themselves are sitting on concrete foundations and have full size basements. The decks above are 18 years old and treated yearly. No rot. Some general warping, twisting, spiltting that gets replaced. Overall, the decks/stilts are in very good-excellent condition. BBQ Ready!
I will say, that from your point of view, and as far away as you are....They Do Look Like Stilts!
Now!! How About A Picture? "Brother, Can You Spare A...................(snapshot?)
Anybody?
Winter comes, and we all are hibernating? I don't think so. Come out, come out...where-ever you are

I have seen it before and to be honest it does look picturesque. I'd send a picture but there is no snow here. I can send a picture of my house, they are different over here that's fur sure (see what I did there)or a snow picture.

One of the things I appreciated when I lived in the UK in the mid 70's was the sense of history. The US (founded in 1776) and Canada (founded in 1867) were just young pups. One of the houses I lived in was over 400 years old. That was waaayyy different than I was used to.

It looks like a decent lift. Quite heavy duty looking.

Always be careful when moving the scoot on/off the table. The ramp can be a little more difficult than you think, watch for condensation because it can be a little slippy.

Oh yeah Ali! The table is heavy. I got it assembled....More to come on that later.
DAB, thanks for the tip! Should I add some gritty-grip tape to the deck?

Try it as it is, but just be careful, I have one bike that is 240 kg and can be difficult to get up the ramp. Been thinking of painting it and adding some sand to give it grip (just the ramp). I weigh around 250 lbs. so can bully it a bit.
