I looked at the Sony (Mini Action Cam) and it is very nice with more features but slightly larger and heavier. If I remember it was about $250 plus the card. It had stabilization too and the wireless remote.

The Sony I saw at Best Buy. 1" x 1.1" x 3". Maybe the next upgrade next year if I use the Mobius enough. Hate to drop that off of the helmet.
You must be Amazon Prime. Mine says delivery next Wednesday. I will probably see it on Monday.
Just checked and it is in town - maybe tomorrow then.

Nope... no Amazon Prime, I don't know where yours is, maybe on the same truck as my mirrors... boooooooo
Ok crash course done, I'm up and running It will need the latest firmware update SEcoda as there has been one since mine was manufactured... get it here; http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost ... ostcount=3
What beautiful footage! This will be the best 100 bucks spent on a helmet cam. Tough to beat the price Easy and user friendly, good call man... I'm happy!

Good video for such a tiny camera... the stills can't compete though
switch the settings on the lower video to HD to see the capability

They are definitely the best bang for the buck and perfect for a helmet cam. Thanks for the firmware link.

Basic run of the mill Kodak easy share 14 meg. camera
It recommends the class 4 mem card and I'm wondering if a class 10 would even be better quality video. SEcoda how will we mount this on the helmet, I have the entire mounting option kit for Mobius on an X-mass list so that's not happening until my son see's it so in the mean time lets figure something out.

The color balance, saturation, and contrast ratio are way better.

They are handsome pigeons I have to say.

Doesn't look hopeful, lens must be tiny.

Do you know about Pigeons youyou. I don't know exactly where you are from but I do know in certain parts of the world all the neighbors fly one bred or another. In Kuwait for example Sadam's thugs destroyed some of the most beautiful lofts along with the rape and execution of everyone else until we run him back but the Pigeons didn't really make the news My choice were NY flights because they were more likely to outrun the birds of prey here in the forest preserves of Illinois. Miss the birds a lot... somedays

My Grom buddy just used the included Velcro tape for the helmet mount on the link I posted. I have a lot of Velcro for RC stuff. He doesn't use the mount much but he says you still can with the Velcro on the bottom. He has the same helmet as me so I know where to mount it for a level shot.

I need to get it low on the dash to include the tachometer, speedo, etc. If we get one more decent day to ride that's where I'm needing it for now. If you figure out the Mobius settings software DL and how to manipulate it that would be helpful to turn the image on its side so as to do a side mount on the helmet with the little camera. I was going to try to find the link today for the aftermarket software mentioned on some of the YTuber vids.

I downloaded the software and used it to update the firmware. It works very well on the PC. I will try the Android version next. May need a special cable.
