Thanks for the kind replies.

One more question... Is there an oil filter cartridge/mesh to be cleaned/replaced somewhere in the engine?

Theres a cleanable mesh filter on the left side of the engine. Easy to spot, the rear brake cable runs over the hex for it.

I went to a friend's house in Saen Tung, a 15-minute ride from Trat City. The place was in a nice residential area, a muban as they call it (or ban chad san). Most of the houses are attached, but some big mansions belong to people who must be loaded.

In this photo of my PCX and my friend's Nissan March, the colours blend in together quite well:

These attached houses are pretty cramped (I never cease to wonder about the choice of colours like an awful green):

Just opposite, on the other side of the small soi, there was this mansion:

Just the other day I was in downtown Trat. I was a little bit frustrated about my PCX's capabilities on the open road and then I saw this. Well, at least some people are not afraid of the first scratch and I shouldn't be either. I wonder if one can squeeze a Honda Forza 300 in this spot?

A PCX 150 parked and sandwiched in between some step-throughs:
