Not all of today's FF helmets will go in the luggage box so you might wait on buying one until you have the bike in front of you. If you do go for a top box there's a recall on the supporting mount. It's a free replacement part and you can get it from Honda letting them install it or easy enough to do yourself. It might have been done already since you are buying from a dealer.

I hear you on a clean look, this is an example of a clean look :D

Until he has taken the MSF course he will only be allowed to ride around in a parking lot and our low traffic neighborhood. No highways or busy streets. So, yeah, I will be taking it out. I am seriously considering selling/trading my FZ for a Yamaha Xmax 300cc scooter. Those are very nice. If I can find a lightly used Forza I might go that route.

I too jumped on the scooter side once I discovered how comfortable and easy handling they are. Some are more nimble than any motorcycle.
I have never ridden the new XMAX, on paper its the most powerful 300cc one. I have a Forza, I consider it the Toyota SE of scooters. Can get you there in comfort, quickly and jack of all trades. I don't even feel the shocks are all that bad contrary to what many think of them. I think the XMAX is probably more exciting to ride, just a wild guess since the Forza is very practical but thrilling its not.

So here is a thought. If he buys the 2015 from the dealer, do you think both keys are still available? I would hope so, but if not how would he get another one with the shutter lock ability?

The fear of many scooter riders is that they will accidentally lock their keys under the seat. Easy enough to do. Turn off the bike. Pull out the key and put it in your coat pocket. Take your coat off and put it under the seat for storage while you are in class. Close the seat. Oops! Where is the key??

Just be aware of this. It happens. My wife did it, twice.

Simple cure: ALWAYS leave key in ignition till you walk away, get in the habit of making the last thing you do to withdraw key and check steering lock on.

I had a 2017 pcx for 1 1/2 years and enjoyed it. I'm 6' and weigh 200 lbs. and was able to get 63mph tops. However, the scooter was most comfortable running about 50 - 55 mph. I was able to put my 3/4 helmet with flip-up shield under the seat. However, when I replaced the stock seat with a custom step-seat my helmet no longer fit under the seat. I installed a rear rack and trunk and was able to store my helmet again. The mid-tall windshield did make the scooter more stable on a windy day.

I traded the '17 pcx and the local dealership for a pre-owned '14 forza. The dealership is asking $2899 for the pcx. I kept the step-seat and the rear rack/trunk thinking one day I may find another pcx for my stable.

Update: I traded my motorcycle for a new, 2017 PCX today! I missed two used bikes but traded even on this leftover 2017, so I'm ok with that. Besides, I really like the dark blue color. It is a fun machine. My son rode it around the neighborhood for a few minutes and declared it to be awesome. I'm going to get him on it in the evening and practice some maneuvers. I will schedule the MSC asap.

Can't figure out how to post pics.

To post pictures is to first make sure they are small enough. I would suggest 800 x 600 because they don't take as long to upload. Once you have shrunk the picture put it in a place on your computer where you can find it.

Now that you have accomplished that, use the Full Editor button and use the upload attachment section to upload your pictures. Choose file. Add the file. Place in message.
