Exactly! People keep stating Honda specific this and that oil - well, any good fully synth 4T oil is fine, you do not need MB of Honda Pro oil, yet when Honda specifc bog standard fuel, people insist on using premium higher octane fuel

what does the manual say for the 2013 model? sadly I can only find the 2011 manual does the 2013 manual say 87 octane

It's not worth fretting about, I have the 2013 and it runs just fine on regular gas, anything more is a waste of money

If you'll observe, I have the 2013 model. The manual I referenced is from that model.
