Would it be possible to put 13G Rollers into my 7,500 stock variator? sorry if this is a stupid question.

Can you share where you got them from?Jge64 wrote:I have 13g sliders in my stock variator, could not be happier with the mod.
I'm afraid mine were 1814.chicaboo wrote:Zonky, can you confirm that you had SR2015 sliders, and not SR1814 or something off?
Maybe you should change the title of the thread to "Wrong size sliders for the bike installed and I didn't like that they weren't working right". Instead of implying to everyone that installing the correct DrPulley sliders would be a step backwards.flyingzonker wrote:I'm afraid mine were 1814.

They are genuine. The knockoff designs are orange from what I've seen.
Well, the bike seemed louder to me with them in--but I thought it was engine noise. Maybe it was a fast rattling variator.chicaboo wrote:You need SR2015. The 1814s will cost you speed since they won't push out far enough on the variator plate.
They probably rattled around line a spray can, too? In future anything labeled as 20x15mm is safe to run.
With the sliders I hear a sort of scrubbing sound as I drop the revs when they aren't quite fully engaging the variator plate. But nothing awful...flyingzonker wrote:Well, the bike seemed louder to me with them in--but I thought it was engine noise. Maybe it was a fast4 rattling variator.chicaboo wrote:You need SR2015. You're right, using lower variator weights means that the engine will run on higher revs - thus will be louder.flyingzonker wrote:Well, the bike seemed louder to me with them in--but I thought it was engine noise.
