For most of us the bikes are 'pride in motion' regardless the worth or maker. It's certainly not the owners fault if a bike is filthy when its used for work or off road use. But for scooters, street fighters and cruisers kept for track, pleasure, leisure and owned as optional alternative vehicles... I will fault a man for a rusty, dirty or neglected bike.
And I won't eat at his table either.

Hmm... Optional alternative vehicle. Mine is so not that.

So yeah, I polish it up and ride it through the salt and clean it up once spring arrives.
But others may differ, I'm fine with that.

I've used it online for some 20 years, it is the one I originally decided upon when I first started with FPS games which seemed very suitable considering the meaning.

Personally I wash my bike now and then and use FS365 on the exposed metal parts.

Corrosion X works well on chains for winter storage. You can also brush it on to any exposed metal to seal it every 6 months.

Whenever I wash it, which is about once every 2 months certainly no more than that although it'll also depend just how bad the weather has been.

I don't ride in snow, over ice or in high winds as I've no wish to be a danger to myself or others. Anything else and I'm good to go.
