My wife and I got a 55" RCA LED model for $399 two years ago at a kmart Black Friday sale (they didn't advertise it in the add and had two...) went from a 32" Panasonic to the 55" on the wall and added a yamaha soundbar ($100 refurb from Amazon) and couldn't be happier for the money. Really though, the new TVs need at least a soundbar otherwise your sound seems as if it comes out of the car in your neighbors garage... Crappy

My 47" LG sounds like it is small compared to some listed here, but thoroughly enjoying the SmartTV and 3D.

True about the soundbar making things much better

Not a big fan of TV. Most of it just seems a waste of your life.
