Congrats on the new scooter!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

And about panels, you Americans are extremely lucky because I asked the other day in my Spanish Honda dealer for a panel that is about $4 in the States, and here is about $28... a 2015 seat is about $80 in the USA, and here about $200... we are ripped off!!!!!! :x :x :x :x :x :x

Yes, this is really odd with the price of body panels being so low here. Typically, prices for such things are much higher.

One thing I know for sure is that the price of parts for the 2015 model is much higher than for the 2013 and below, which are almost all interchangeable. I think that is because the 2015 model is completely different from past versions, and many of the third party parts houses have not started producing those replacement parts in quantity yet.

By the way, I too purchased my seat from powerbypcx.com, and I am very happy with it, but if I could have gotten them to custom make one for me I would have had them move the back support back 1 inch. Then I would have been really happy. As it is, I need to move around often because of my back problems (5 back surgeries...and aiming for number 6), and it would be nice if I had room to move.
Currently own:
Red 2013 Honda PCX150

Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights
Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn
Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires
Headlight assy upgraded to LEDs w/HS5 main bulbs
NCY variator, drive face, and rollers

Mel, I'm in the process of modifying my seat, so that it allows full movement without restrictions. I cannot fully explain the process in English, but I will show lots of pictures, so stay tuned! ;)

are you awake yet? wake up please and show us the seat :) 10:45 Chicago time

This woman has a 2015 seat I tried to buy to rip up and have reupholstered http://spacecoast.craigslist.org/mpo/4680554057.html
She claims it fits earlier models so I probably won't be getting it since she can find a buyer locally. Too bad, I was going to have a lot of fun in bright red while retaining the original seat in black on the side. I will keep scanning Craig's List nationally for PCX goodies, maybe get lucky.

Yes, here I am, and here you have the "new" seat:

Its shaped now so that I can move around often, if I need to. I have used the scooter today more than an hour and the difference is like night and day! I have added about 7cm (2.75in) and now it feels as if I had new shocks, as the foam absorbs incredibly well the potholes, etc ;)

About the seat sold in CL, IT'S A BARGAIN!!! I'm almost sure that it will NOT fil older PCXs, as the shape of the hinge is absolutely different, so I'm confident that you would be able to purchase it from her :D :D :D :D :D

I'm going to create a new thread with more pics and I'll also talk about the new windshield ;)

It's also terrible from Spanish into English...      As an "emergency" solution is ok, but one cannot hope to get an accurate translation from the online service. Perhaps professional programs would be really accurate? I haven't tried, but translating into a foreign language is so complex, and with so tiny details, that I seriously doubt it...
