The pull out side bags are an interesting feature.

Also: If you get it from WalMart and don't like it, you can just take it back
for a refund.

I noticed that WalMart is out of them online, but some of their stores
apparently still have them.

Indglow, I haven't been able to find your seat bag at WalMart
yet; however, they did have this Bell handlebar bag which might
be perfect for small items. It has velcro attachment
straps on its back side that might work well with the PCX's
handlebars. I don't think that it would interfere with getting
a leg across the opening between the handlebars and seat.
I'll probably buy one this weekend and try it. If it works out,
fine; if not, I'll return it to Walmart. It's made by Bell and
appears to be well made. If useable, it could be handy for
smaller items such as sunglasses, etc. It would mount on the
rear side of the handlebars.

Also: I used the HikPro foldable backpack again yesterday. It held a
large bag of 52 Depends Pads for men ( I recently had prostate cancer
surgery, so such pads will be a way of life for awhile). I'll post
a picture of the backpack loaded with those items. Of course, it still
had a couple of small zippered storage areas left for smaller
items. So far, I am pleased with the HikPro backpack.

I bought a Maxpedition folding backpack. Never really touched the thing, even for college use. One nagging issue was the easily frayed nylon near the zippered region, where I assume using the 1000 denier good stuff would make it tough to fold. It's a novelty IMO. Complete PITA to fold, and there wasn't a situation where I couldn't simply have carried the empty backpack where I needed it. That, and the fact that it doesn't hold its shape tends to be noticeable when loading it heavy. Kind of makes me wonder if the thing would just split open with a good jolt and dump everything on the ground.

The underseat area is roomy. You can just shove a regular backpack in there and flatten the thing out.

Thanks for the input, Valiant. That's something to consider if the
foldable backpacks ( such as the Hikpro ) don't seem to be up to
the task. I've only carried lighter items in my Hikpro so far, so I
really don't know how much stress it can take. Your approach
makes sense. Rather than loading the area under the seat first,
you could load the heavier duty backpack first and then use the
underseat area for additional items as needed. I only carry items (usually
from WalMart) about 5 miles, so I'm hoping that the under-seat
area and the HikPro will be adequate. So far, so good.

Although I was unable to find the seat bag at WalMart that Indyglow was talking about,
I did find a handlebar bag which appears to be a perfect fit for the PCX. It is a Bell
Stowaway 350 handlebar bag which is actually made for bicycles, but it fits the PCX
perfectly.The bag has strong Velcro mounts on its back / upper side which are easy
to attach to the PCX handlebars. The bag has a plastic stiffener sheet on the inside which helps
the bag hold its shape, and it does not flop around while riding. The top zipper works
smoothly and appears to be of good quality. Its cost: $ 12.96 at WalMart. Also very
important: The handlebar bag does not get in the way when mounting / dismounting
the scooter. Pictures are posted on my blog below.

Also, I've been using the HikPro foldable backpack more. No problems so far. I have also
carried heavier loads ( half gallon of milk, 40 ounce container of juice, etc. at the same time.
With heavier loads, the heavier items sag down and rest on the rear area of the seat, so
their weight is supported by the seat and is hardly noticeable when riding. That also takes
some strain off of the backpack itself.
