OMGosh! Near future...Scratches! Punctures! )o: Shame that the cats are all over your fine scoot. There was a time when several stray cats invaded my gardens using them as their daily litter box. Asked around & read about some solutions...gave these a go:
1) tie a few mothballs (camphor) in some old knee stockings, then dangle/hang them (from stakes or foundation eaves of your home) around the area you want protected. Camphor is toxic, so choice is yours to use this method or not. Cats don't like the odor. Yuk. This worked for me and no bodies were found. Maybe you can hang from your handlebar?
2) My most recent success was using cayenne pepper sprinkled liberally around the base of my tree. Lasts a few days and then needs a re-do. I buy the pepper at the dollar store and it's cheaper and just as fresh. Cats came, left. Visited again for a week, then just gave up coming. The world is there litter box, they found another spot! (O;
Word of caution, be careful using these products, You won't like inhaling them either!

I'm not sure if you are already on the college campus or not, but just in case. Cats also don't like the smell of citrus.

Nah not yet but they have been staying off. I start at end of month. But there are many feral cats on campus

I know what you mean. My summer job is in the produce department at a regional grocery store and as soon as I open up a box of dried peppers it is hard not to sneeze because of all the powder that goes into the air.WhiteNoise wrote:OMGosh! Heck, have you tried to teach them to ride yet? That way, the leather gloves will keep them from clawing. The only thing I would caution about, though, is you might have to drive out to help them right the scooter if they get into trouble...and besides...
