Have seen a YouTube video of indicated 152 kph (94mph)
From my trip today I see no reason to doubt that, 70mph (113kph) was completely effortless with heaps left.
Its definitely faster and more economical than my mk1 Forza 300 was.

Just arrived home from collecting my Xmax 300, sixty(ish) mile trip at an average of 93mpg.
You did it?

You got the XMax 300? :o

Fantastic! 8)

Congratulations!!!

Jolly good as they say . . .. :D

I've yet to push mine to the "outter limits" yet but definitely have no problem keeping up with brisk traffic. It's all I need. In fact if you watch the "Missenden Flyer" review he sort of say's the same.

Make sure they put the tool pack containing the shock adjustment spanner wrench up on the underside of the seat. It should also have a screwdriver handle with a Slotted/Phillips head insert and a couple of Allen (Hex Key) wrenches. Mine didn't come with a spark plug wrench. But I don't expect to have to check it for some time. And I have my own socket set.

That said this video, although not in the "King's English", is very detailed on how to remove and check the spark plug. It also shows the tools needed. Subtitles included. Well done by the originator . . ..

The more you ride it the more you will appreciate it and have some good grins.

BTW the rear brake may feel a bit "wooden" at first and the front brake will feel more as expected. Give them the "brake in miles" to get seated. They are most excellent . . .. ;)

Any pics yet??? 8)

All breaking in has been done, I bought it with 2400 miles on it.

Did you add the Xmax to the stable or trade the SV650?

Oh - and congratulations!

Oh yeah . . .. you should be all set.

About another 10K miles before the valves have to be checked.

You're going to be glad you got it.

Simple to pull the "pet carrier" out and get to everything.

When doing the first few "top offs" at the gas station take your time until you get used to it.

Best of luck. A celebration is in order! :D

One more thing . . ..

Be mindful when you have to cross "grated steel bridges", "crowns" in the middle of the road, or "grooved/unruly pavement".

As I've mentioned here before the suspension sometimes feels like it is negotiating with itself. The front and rear tire sizes are different and being a scooter it will handle somewhat differently than a motorcycle.

So 99% of the time the thing is a pure pleasure . . . just be mindful for the 1% change of handling characteristics that may result from road surface irregularities.

BTW it has a wider turning radius than the PCX (or a Zuma 125) so you'll need more room to complete a "U-Turn".

I digress . . ..

Cheers! :D

Well yes, I've never been a big fan of the styling but as time goes by I'm getting more used to it.
The car I have now I thought was utterly hideous at launch, it was very different to anything on the road at the time and to me looked silly.
Love it now though.
Opinions change...... nothing lasts forever ;)
I think the Xmax 300 is the best 300cc scooter on the market right now, which is why I bought it.

You can get one imported, but it might be expensive.

I had to share a toast in honor of the new Xmax . . .. :D

I've been off the road since noon when I started. My cat insisted.

An Irish Coffee . . . Jameson . . . not Bushmills this time. ;)

I won't elaborate on the 5 Budweisers and 5 Heinekens before the migration to caffeine drinks.

Laugh Out Loud!!!

Cheers!!!

FWIW we are celebrating what we call "Labor Day Weekend" although labor has been getting screwed since 1976 with PAC money distributions but I won't get into it because we don't do politics on the forum. You dig?

Long live labor!!!

Rock on and ride often!!!! 8)

Cheers man and ride on!!!

Time for another 5 second pour of Jameson on the coffee. Oh . . . and honey and whipped cream too. Must do it justice!!! :D

Back to the deck and evening highlights . . ..

Effed up . . . can you tell? Anything worth doing is worth doing right!!!!

I survived . . ..

It's all about water today. More water . . .. Water and ice.

Yesterday was indeed the day to celebrate.

Possible thunderstorms later on this afternoon.

I shouldn't complain considering what those poor souls in the Bahamas are going through. o_O
