I'd did the filter and the 16g DP in one change so don't know the individual improvement, but again it's a little faster now 0-100 in 9.6 sec without loosing end speed.
Next thing will be a Arrow Reflex 2.0 with race header, the muffler air filter combo will hopefully bring the Forza under the 9sec.

Very nice testing. The 40-60-80-100 runs really let us see the action of the trans. That is getting pretty radical with the 6,000+ rpm clutch engagement and 7,600 pulling rpm of the 16gm sliders which are still slightly active above 100 kph. Does the clutch feel disconnected and jumpy between coasting and catching when driving around at parking lot speeds?

It is also interesting to see that with the light sliders of either 18gm or 16gm and the heavier contra spring, the 400 rpm creep during the shifting phase that the original poster had gone to such great lengths to eliminate with his mix'n match set up is gone from your bike as well.

All actions are smooth with the new clutch, only thing is that the clutch with easy low throttling gomes in from 4000rpm and above, but that's OK by me.

4,000 is good. It looked like 6,000 on the videos but some of that must be attributed to the low gearing that the sliders provide instaed of rollers. And the lower weight of the 18gm or the 16 gm.

When I hit the throttle full from start it go's direct to 6500rpm and slowly rises to +7000 till the end of the variator range, very smooth but powerful transition!!
Btw, all testing is with sitting upright and flat roads.

Hello again.....soory for the delayed response but I've been on the road for a few weeks.
Mario, you started modding your Forza at 300Km.....
I waited until 2000miles before going to lighter weights.
in fact I actually ran heavier weights briefly before I started really going light on weights just to "exercise" the variator and flex the contra.
Here's why:
above are two IDENTICAL springs, both Honda OEM contras...
one has 7500 miles and one is new.
The engine is the least of your worries.
Most of the break in is for everything else on the scoot!
you side stepped the normal contra wear in by installing a lighter contra.
I think that's why the combo didn't work for you....it would have in time.
As for "great lengths" mentioned by Sendler.....
if you remember I started this thread about tuning the OEM variator.
Everything on my drivetrain is completely stock except the variator weights.
The total cost was about $60.
The result is my Forza will do 0-75 in <15 seconds, which was the Forza's stock 0-60 time.
It still gets 68mpg and I trust it implicitly on the Interstate at 80mph.
I realize the exotic aftermarket stuff is cooler than tuned stock but it all depends on your intended purpose (and your purse!)

Robert, it takes a few miles for some components to reach their optimum tolerance.
The springs start off a about 110% of the desired long term strength.
the heavier the spring the more weight required to compress it at any given rpm.

My gain is a more sporty than standard Forza, at the moment my Forza use about 1-26 km fuel and that ok by me.

Robert, my Forza running mixed weights will do 0-100kmph (60mph) in 10 seconds...probably a little less.

No need to change the variator on the Forza. All that is really needed to make a big performance gain are some 18 or 16 gm sliders for $30.

You certainly are knowledgeable about this.....could you start (or point me) another thread on exactly what the rollers/sliders do? Why are sliders better? Or are they? Based on yours and a few other threads i replaced my rollers with 13 g sliders and got a substantial increase in take off torque and speed, exactly what i was looking for. But i dont think ive read a "why" this is happening.
