Personally I find the bike remarkably stable on the highway. Granted, most of my recent experience is with dual sports. On my WR i try to avoid road snakes, esp at higher speeds....this bike is pretty solid.

Road snakes? The real deal? As in....Snake?
Okay, I'll play. I nipped the head of one once. Big fella.
My guess re: Road snakes. I believe they're the tar spaghetti strips on the roadways. Asphalt crack fixes/filler. They're Shiny, look like snakes and can be dangerous. I avoid riding over them...if possible. Some roads are a bowl of spaghetti! Be watchful and careful.

Unlike the real snakes we have here in Oz.
I ran over one about 4 months ago, travelling along looking after my own business, I was actually looking out for koalas and wombats as I was travelling in a bush area.

Kangaroos are more of a problem on the southside, Logan and bayside. I've only ever hit a roo once, and I hope it never happens again.JohnL wrote:Unlike the real snakes we have here in Oz.

I might even buy some roo shoos for the PCX since they work so well on the Jeep.

In my opinion, no. They have been around for so long now (20+ years), the sound is common.chicaboo wrote:Are deers bothered by little black ultrasonic plastic whistles?
