I was trying to rig the mobius with sound dampening from wind noise because dam! when I ran across this jewel of a Youtube character... thought I would share. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaCtWH2n6ik
btw the foam thing will most likely work but testing it later on the expressway with cam on top of helmet

The foam idea works fine but so might something to deflect the wind rather than dampen. I like the thunder of the twins in wide angle helmet cam video so I will test this today as a simple fix. Not sure why Mobius places the mic head on like they do. I think they could do side or even rear access microphone and still have decent sound quality especially since this is an ACTION cam... hello?

Well crappo the cellophane blew off I guess you guys could have told me that was going to happen. So now I fashioned the foam rubber with 3M cause that stuff sticks to anything. Careful to not cover the microphone hole with the tape but surrounding the access and covering with foam. This is going to work I can feel it!!!!!

This morning I expect to have no unwanted camera noise with the foam rubber attachment. If it stays on at 90 mph i'm done with hiding the cam behind the windscreen. I still love the versatile little 79.00 camera but these are designed for droan's with airflow in a downward direction, when they say bike they mean bicycle I get so much use from the high definition mobius with all kinds of projects, this is my third version.
Just the other day I lost one completely and this is their new wide angle 'C'. The mobius is still my first choice for action cams and user friendly software. It's a dash cam you can afford to risk damaging, theft and loss. If we can get it riding high on the helmet we will have solved vibration, wind noise, helmet in video from side mount and limited views from behind a windscreen to avoid wind noise perfectly perfect!
But I cannot defeat the wind noise even when the microphone is blocked completely. Maybe there is just too much air flow over the top of a helmet for a topside mount. Might try other areas of the helmet or abandon the quest and be good for the birds eye visibility and event recordings.
Pay no attention to me and my Ipass transponder issues in this clip. Friken piece of **** I will have to call this toll gate in as unresponsive before I get the ticket.... again! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgY6qEAmAxM
out if ideas for wind noise and the Mobius on the outside of a helmet.
