Stiffer rear springs?

Post by Spinnetti »

Got an ADV 160. We ride 2-up and I'm a big guy. The front fork is fine, but the rear is harsh over bumps, in part because the progressive part bottoms out very quickly. I'd like a spring that is both stiffer and more progressive for better 2-up riding. Anything out there? I don't really want to replace the entire shocks as the bike is brand new, though the rear is under damped a bit too.

I belive ohlins do make a number of springs a d maybe an email or call directly would be the easiest way forward. The or shocks are the budget end but ohlins would tell you if they can help upgrade just the coils.

I appreciate that the original shocks are showa but as far as I know these none adjustable shocks can't be modified with stiffer coils unlike ohlins . Maybe take a few measurements and look around a few 2nd hand parts stores for some decent shocks as a low cost alternative
