I just renewed the forum's hosting for 3 years - at a cost of $359. They've jacked up hosting on me, so I may be updating the site to more modern software... And moving to some private hosting over the upcoming holidays. More on that soon!

Software updated! The new site's more secure and a bit more modern looking. The features are about the same though - for now.

Me and my wife are potentially undergoing a major career change yet again, and parenting a 3 year old and 7 year old takes up a lot of time, so no private hosting for now. Long-term I'd like to do so; the forum was very well-funded a few years ago, but took out a bit of a loan against me for the latest hosting payment. I think we'll recoup that in donations by the time renewal's up again in 2023.

Unrelated, the site is turning 10 years old in August!!!! Time sure does fly.

Hey, sorry for the delay - we moved to New Mexico and I was literally living out of our RV for two months. I finally have internet again!

I'm not sure what's up with PayPal, but it rejected two recent donations after 30 days. The two donations that were rejected were returned to their original donors.

I'll keep an eye on PayPal and will switch providers if that keeps happening.

I just updated the domain registration for this site for the next 5 years using donations - so thank you all for that!

With that in mind, hosting expiration is coming up soon and I'm going to have to look into migrating to a new host. Our current host is jacking rates up to the point that it's borderline predatory - the plan cost is going to skyrocket to over $300 per year. I'm going to look into better options. The site'll stay on no matter what - no worries there - but any donations do help offset the cost of the site, and ensure I can keep it ad-free.
