I am buying new parts to swap out the CVT in my Honda SH150 ABS 2014 in Europe, I am temporarily in Indonesia and I have noticed that here parts for the PCX 150 are 10 times cheaper compared to parts that are unique to the SH150.
So I've opened the honda clutch parts list for SH150 and PCX150 to get an idea of which parts are the same and which parts might not be.
Here is PCX 150 2013 CLUTCH parts diagram with marked differences
- green boxes - parts have the same part number across PCX and SH (cheap)
- blue boxes - parts are not the same between PCX and SH but they are shared between SH and another (cheaper) model like VARIO, SCOOPY... (cheeap)
- red boxes - parts that have a unique part number only for SH and unfortunately way more expensive
My actual questions are...
Does anyone know or dare to speculate what is the difference in the two face sets (numbers 8 and 9) between PCX and SH? Would the PCX ones fit on the SH? The part numbers are 23205K01900,23224K02900 for SH and 23205KWN640(23205KWN641),23224KWN640 for PCX?
For the driven face set they don't actually give a part number individually it might also be just a difference in the included washer (number 24) which does have a different part code. I wonder if I should buy the PCX clutch face sets anyways, compare with the currently installed one in the SH and try to fit the PCX one in since the PCX ones are inexpensive while SH ones are expensive. For example the driven face set for PCX 150 I can source it for less than 10 USD in Indonesia, while for the SH 150 it is ~100USD. Outrageous!
If you've read this far, thanks a lot for the attention!
