I definitely understand your irritation. There is a very large "golfing community" right next to our subdivision. In reality it is a subdivision built around a golf course. The prices of those houses is $100,000 more for the same design as we have in our subdivision, except of course, they have their swim-tennis-golf community that costs a fortune to join. Well, those drivers don't seem to care that it is not a gated community, and they drive their golf carts on public roads without a concern in the world. Luckily, they haven't been foolish enough to try to take them on the heavily travelled main streets on either side of their community. They would be run over in no time.
I've been to the "Reynolds Plantation" in your state, GA, back in the '90s when it was a growing golf community of expensive houses on Lake Oconee. It really amazed me how much construction was going on and places that we would pass on one visit that were woods would become construction sites by the time we visited again. Felt sorry for the "Boiled Peanuts" vendors that were trying to scratch a living and were getting pushed aside.
Today I had another vehicle, an older guy in a red pickup truck this time, way way way over the yellow line, long time, and as I waved for him to get back over on his side (without flipping him off as much as I would have liked to) he absolutely did not respond. Of course I had already moved over towards my shoulder of the road and the guy behind him was probably in disbelief. They were approaching a traffic light so I had to assume he would have straightened it out by then. I was only on the PCX maybe 5 minutes and the crap had started already.
So the next time you come across these examples of humanity performing flawlessly through life just remember that there is an endless supply and you will never have to fear a shortage of them.
