"Fair game if it wasn't wearing fluorescents."
As I understand it from a certain member of our forum, fur is fine also, even if it isn't fluorescent.
Now, I am sure that there is at least one of those pesky little squirrels running around with a yellow stripe down his back from road paint. I hear that Ralph, that damn psychotic squirrel, is a clever little beast. He is always daring those other dumb squirrels to run across the road in front of cars, or standing on the wet paint after the road has been painted, or some other dangerous thing. His reputation ranges far and wide. He has left scattered bodies in almost every continent, and yet he is still daring them, and they are still obliging. If you see a dead squirrel in the road while you are driving around, blame it on Ralph. He most likely was there, watching in the safety of the trees. :-)

Re: Brake light
The other day I was driving through our subdivision at around 25 mph and I saw a squirrel just standing there in the street, with his back to me. I rolled up closer to him before hitting my horn. That squirrel jumped higher than my hood! Then he went left, then right, then left. Then he turned around and ran directly under the car. I stopped, and the squirrel came out from under the car at full speed, heading for the nearest tree. Boy, Ralph must have gotten a young, dumb one involved that time!
