Re: Snorkle?
Well thats answered that :) We get a lot of standing water around where I live and some flooding on the roads in quite common in very heavy rain. I don't mean cars floating down the street, but certainly a couple of inches happens often. It would be nice to ride through (slowly) two or three inches ...

Snorkle?
I've often looked at that breather pipe thing under the variator cover (see part 2 on the Left Side Cover page of the parts diagram pdf file), and thought If I could put some kind of extension on it that would allow me to ride through water deeper than 10mm. Any thoughts - good idea? Stupid idea? Ba...

Re: Forum Suggestions
As for the fuel cover, that one's relatively easy -- there is the big silver screw that is exposed, then two little black screws inside the fairing up above where the gas cap is. Remove those, then push the fairing up and towards the front of the bike. It should pop loose. Hi, I got the fuel cover ...

Re: Forum Suggestions
How about a help wanted section for people to ask forum members for advice, know how, suggestions about anything related to the pcx or riding? I'll start it by asking - Has anyone has managed to get the fairing and headlight off? And if you have, what's the secret? I've got all the panels off except...

Re: New PCX top speed???
Can someone in Scotland nip up to Cairngorm Summit where the wind has reached up to 165mph please. This will give you a combined top speed of 227.5mph which should be the fastest so far - be aware of riders with jocasta variators overtaking you though

Snow Time.
Well, I meant to take the panels off the scoot and set about getting it ready for winter but in the end I didn't have enough time - so I went for a ride instead :) The weather here in the north of England is now getting nasty - very cold, sleet, snow, hail etc. One question about the PCX remained un...

Re: Weather report
9.20am Sunday 4th Dec, Carlisle, Cumbria, UK. It's started snowing  I guess this means that the roads will start being gritted now. So I'm going to have to spend today taking the panels off the scoot and waxoyling the frame. And I'm definitely going to get the exhaust powder coated. I'll take s...

Re: Bennetts Insurance (UK Specific?)
I'm not with them either and having seen this there's no way I would ever even ask for a quote. I've got a honda big screen, honda top box, honda alarm, oxford heated grips and a K'n'N filter - that's five mods and would mean they wouldn't insure me. I think Bennetts will either change their policy ...

Bennetts Insurance (UK Specific?)
Has anybody in the UK got a their pcx or any other bike insured with Bennetts? If so you need to read this on MCN: http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/News/newsresults/General-news/2011/November/nov1711-top-bike-insurer-says-no-more-than-three-mods/_/R-EPI-133688 More than 3 modifications and your ins...

Re: Taco!
Starbucks have just announced a planned big increase in the number of outlets they're going to have here in the UK, including a large number of drive throughs. If it's (rightly) illegal to use a mobile phone while you're driving, I can't see a happy ending to someone drinking a hot cup of coffee whi...

Re: Michelin tyres
I got my city grip front tyre fitted yesterday (rears are out of stock for a few weeks) so I think I'll try this front wheel skid thing on the way to work this morning - its quite frosty at the moment. If you never get another post from me please bury me with my scooter :) I used to ride a trials bi...

Not sure about the indicators on the mirrors though - I like to fold my mirrors in when I'm filtering.

Go to your doctor NOW. There's lots of little bones in your foot that an be easily broken and you may need an x-ray. If you're going to tell your insurance company then you should also tell the Police about your accident - I'm pretty sure it's the law anyway, plus the insurance company may want to k...

Re: Puncture
It was there fault for putting the stupid board where it could cause this to happen in the first place. They should have moved it somewhere out of the way. I had to drive into work this morning in the cage at vast expense (mpg and parking). I told them what had happened and they've admitted fault. I...

Re: Puncture
BUGGER  Last night at work I managed to get two flats by backing over a board with nails in that had blown over. It was dark and I couldn't see it until the headlight shone on it but by then it was too late. I thought by some miracle I had got away with it, but this morning sure enough the rear...

Re: Motorcycle Helmets
I got a Schuberth C3 a couple of months ago. It's quiet, light weight and has good visibility. It is a flip front that I think has been tested to match full face crash protection (it has steel pins on the chin lock). It's got a pin lock anti fog and an internal sun visor. There have been a few negat...
