Re: made the move... gotta get the info rolling in here tho.

120/80 tires add about half an inch to the rear wheel, I didn't do the calculations, but I think its like 2 or 3% difference. The frame prevents much larger tires from being used.

Re: made the move... gotta get the info rolling in here tho.

That is what puzzled me about the photo on WeBike only showing one gear. They would obviously have to be replaced in pairs with items 5 and 7 together so the increase would be 8.6% and for $80, this is worth a try. . . http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/46217_370873182991800_451992190_n.jpg...

This. Lol

And for those whom think I'm insane for my desires of my pcx, I own a '99 cbr1100xx (blackbird), I've gotten it up to 180mph, it took about 1.5 miles to get there.

Also, there's a countershaft gear as well as the final drive gear on the market. Don't know what the 2 of them would do together, maybe someone will find out before me...

Re: made the move... gotta get the info rolling in here tho.

A very long gear setup would have to be used. Which no one sells. Kitaco makes a final gear for the PCX but is only 1 of the two gears involved and only 4% longer. That and more power from a big bore kit and mapper and some modified DR Pulley sliders might get you to redline at 70 mph on a 125. The...

Re: made the move... gotta get the info rolling in here tho.

Takegawa sells a 170cc kit and a cam. . http://japan.webike.net/products/20695735.html . Kitaco sells a nice, programmable fuel controller for $150. No need to reinvent the application with a Microsquirt. . http://japan.webike.net/products/20523732.html . It would be nice to find a source to buy ot...

Re: made the move... gotta get the info rolling in here tho.

Hi, and welcome back, Mitch. What you have in mind is pretty interesting. No replacement for displacement, you say over there  (here we say, "except positive manifold pressure" ;) ). If you do get it done, I will be one of those paying close attention to it. I will be interested in w...

Re: Honda PCX Wiring Diagram

Thw blue/yellow wire coing from the ckp sensor is what the engines revcut is., if my knowledge is correct.

It is a fuel cut. Not ignition, for those who were wondering.

Re: How to: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX

The pcx150 probably has a different valve lash spec, not far off from the 125 tho.

I haven't lashed my valves yet, but when I do, ill be adjusting -.002 outside spec on the intake and -.002 on the exhaust as well.

Re: Vibrations on startup

Optical clarity in the mirrors hasn’t been a serious issue for me when the bike is on the center stand. Lol. Don’t think I’ve ever started my engine on the center stand, so mine never vibrates like that. There are no instructions to warm up your bike before riding, so I back it out of the garage, p...

Re: made the move... gotta get the info rolling in here tho.

The most displacement has been 209cc's, no knowledge on top speed, but I have a fair goal to see it hit that 100mph line. Lol You put a big bore kit on? How hard was that? How's the mpgs? That's the sort of stuff that needs documented in the Performance subforum! i haven't, reggie has. my und...

Oh god, not more "performance" bollocks to put up with. Just get a bigger scooter ffs. Lol you won't see nonsense from me, at least not in performance, I'm not gonna ask what variator to use, which rollers are better, etc. Ill mod my scooter, post the results, and possibly get some ...

Re: made the move... gotta get the info rolling in here tho.

 Powerbypcx posts here, but leaves it all in his thread. :) What's the microsquirt? Is it a programmable ECU? Can you share a link? Microsquirt is a universal engine management system designed by the makers of megasquirt. The megasquirt units have been used with success on a few cars in my are...

I mean yeah I guess. If you wanted to prevent the mirrors from shaking as much, you could put an oring between the frame and the first screw
