I'd like a seat that lowers the seat-to-ground height by two inches while still being comfortable. 1. I don't know of any part on the market that is viable to do this, the physical structure of the bike doesn't really allow this, but I have an alternative possible solution for you... Lowering the g...

Re: Impressions from the first ride on the PCX.
Thank you. To me it's more scary to be in traffic and going fast than going slowly. Just because I am flowing with some of the traffic, there will always be drivers who will try to pass me no matter how fast im going, and I don't want to play a race game with those. What's the reason you feel scare...

In need of a legitimate USA distributor for pcx parts. I'm l
So there is a great wealth of information of parts surrounding the globe for the honda pcx. But the biggest issue faced is the lack of distribution and difficulty for making purchases. There's a handful of manufacturers making legit parts for the pcx's, and am curious what the market would be intere...

Re: made the move... gotta get the info rolling in here tho.
I guess for some of us, as performance enthusiasts in general, I always want to push limits, reguardless of platform. At the end of the day, its all about improvement. What have you done so far? Research, research the rev limiter, how the bukes ems works, and see what valid options there are for in...

Re: made the move... gotta get the info rolling in here tho.
If these various items cost $500 in total for the Yumanashi parts, how much would the tools and labor ultimately be to handle all of this? I thought about going further than the J Costa variator on my PCX125 but it came out that J Costa wants too much money to possibly have next to no gain. There i...

Re: Engine making ticking noise after Valve adjustment
Sounds like its time for another rebuild if you ask me. You have to set valve lash at top dead center, tdc for short. If your engine isn't at tdc and you try to set valve lash, you could set the lash incorrectly, causing lack of power, bent valves, cracked piston, trashed valve seats, etc. More dama...

Re: Tuning for hills & torque?
Well here is the only answer I can give you given the variables. Not much before and after comparisons have been done by non company represented people for the variators. Some people have stated gains, and some losses after installing an aftermarket variator. roller weights are similar to a flywheel...

Re: Tuning for hills & torque?
To be honest here, I already included lighter rollers in my first point. I mentioned that I understood a switch in over all top speed would occur. I'm looking for specifics. I understand you can't tune the hell out of these things, but recommending switching bikes or "girlfriend" (albeit ...

I've been talking to reggy at yuminashi. I've still gotta get info, but I'm hoping to pull funding to purchase a big bore kit and race head from him. All in all its quite expensive, but power is bar none.

Re: Tuning for hills & torque?
I purchased a Honda PCX 125 over the summer. I really enjoy it, but wish I had known about the 150 before hand. I picked it up as a compromise with the girlfriend over her fear of speed. This was contrary to what I learned in motorcycle training, but I wasn't about to argue the point. Anyway, she w...

Re: made the move... gotta get the info rolling in here tho.
id say 1500 would get it right for sure. I know most people don't have 1500 to throw away, but then again, most people don't work 72-84 hour work weeks either. $1500 is literally 50% of what I paid for my used Silverwing I got a few weeks ago! And I don't have to worry about modding anything, it ju...

Re: made the move... gotta get the info rolling in here tho.
Which is why I have always maintained that to get any worthwhile performance increase from a PCX you need to increase power AND alter the gearing. And that is probably more expensive than some people might think...? id say 1500 would get it right for sure. I know most people don't have 1500 to thro...

And there isn't much point to making more power when the major restriction is limited to gearing, they go hand in hand in the scooters situation.gn2 wrote:Not much point changing the gearing without increasing the power...?

And yeah we should start comparing the kits for the gearing combos.

Re: made the move... gotta get the info rolling in here tho.
WeBike wrote me back and Kitaco said that the kit only comes with one gear. It doesn't make sense. How can you change only one gear of a pair and have it still reach the other gear? Everywhere else I have seen a similar kit for other bikes mentioned, you change #5 and 7. . . http://sphotos-b.xx.fbc...
