Re: At a red light and it wont change

There are a couple other lights its helped with too... In my experience it works like a charm :) cool, could you tell us more abou...

Re: At a red light and it wont change
Have u guys never heard of magnets? Lights have a magnetic loop that detects the electrical system of a car. When there is as disturbance in the magnetic field it trips the sensor to change the light. There are two ways of helping this happen: 1. Place strong neodymium magnets on your forks, side s...

Re: Bar Muffs
i managed to change the order to the non bar end weights version 360-1. those sure are some big levers though. might have to break out the hacksaw or buy some smaller shorter levers.

Re: At a red light and it wont change
check you local laws as has been stated. technically the light should legally be considered as malfunctioning in such situations. i think that once you have waited long enough to be sure at an unfamiliar light, you should go on through. once the light is familiar, you should go through sooner. from ...

Re: givi screen wind buffeting on helmet
i am the same height but didnt experience the same thing with my givi assuming we are talking about the 322 model (you said 233 but i think you meant 322). the aerodynamic properties of a surprisingly good helmet make a huge difference in my experience. i was using a syncrotec and now a neotec helme...

Re: Bar Muffs
Yes, those are the bar end ones. The closed end ones that I used (and still have) were secured on the handlebars with a couple of zip ties hidden within the muff. If you have heated grips then don't use the bar end version. I found I had to cut the hole for the brake leavers a little to a) get them...

Re: Bar Muffs
thanks guys. ordered them so i hope they fit. i want the screw onto the bar end type as they are stylish and not available in japan. i fear they might disappear while the bike is in the uni parking lot although i use a cover, so that is unlikely.
will report back when i get them.

Re: Anyone know about scooting in Japan?
i live in japan and have a red PCX125 for commuting. i also have a BMW800GS and a DRZ400, btw. in much of japan, motorcycles and especially scooters are a big part of life for many people. they arent so much for fun, but for practical personal transportation. that being said, plenty of people like t...

Re: Heated Grips for PCX - recommendations
the grips work well to keep your hands warm when you are running most of the time. on my monday commute that was the case, but on my wednesday/friday commute it isnt. they work a lot better than the non-honda grips that are causing people problems. i wear fully insulated gore-tex gloves but my hands...

Re: Heated Grips for PCX - recommendations
they are meant to work like that. it is just that some of my commutes are too urban with too much stop and go traffic. they are good enough for everything except around freezing. i think the way to go is to get some bar muffs though. http://scooter-wear.com/tucano-urbano/tucano-urbano-handlebar-muffs

Re: Heated Grips for PCX - recommendations
my problem is that there are so many stops that they often dont get a chance to warm up The simple cure for that one is don't use the idle stop when the heated grips are on. The fuel saved with the idle stop is very minimal, maybe a couple of litres in a calendar year of regular use. i tried that a...

Re: Dedicated heat grip socket - Truth or Myth ?!?
they used electrical tape to seal up the connectors as they are exposed on the bars. i dont think they spliced anything. it seemed to be plug and play. i will try to stop by my storage on the way home and see if i can find the box they came in and the installation instructions. the honda grips are ...

Re: Heated Grips for PCX - recommendations
been testing my honda heated grips and they do get quite warm when the bike is running long enough. my problem is that there are so many stops that they often dont get a chance to warm up, but at least they dont drain the battery since they shut off and on automatically when the bike is idling or in...

Re: New eSP on 125 top speed increase over older models?
you'll probably find that it runs better and faster as the engine breaks in and loosens up. please let us know. both PCX engines have more than enough power to hit 100kph or 60mph but are somehow restricted to roughly those speeds. therefore, the bike can get there quite easily even with a heavy rid...

Re: New eSP on 125 top speed increase over older models?
check it with a GPS. as i believe to be typical, my speedo indicates about 10% faster than the actual speed as shown by a GPS navi unit which tend to be very accurate, so that would mean you are actually topping out at around 60MPH if that is also true with your speedo.
