Re: PCX or fly 150? MP3?
So now I get to wait until the Forza hits, then grab a PCX 150 for a much better price then I can get right now. The Forza may not have any impact on the PCX price, its a very different product. I understand the premise that the Forza may get some current PCX owners to move up, making for more used...

Re: PCX or fly 150? MP3?
I researched the heck out of scooters before zeroing in on the PCX. Fuel injection, water cooled, 14" wheels, and Honda reliability. Of course, on a PCX forum you'd expect us to tell you how good this scoot is... but, it is surprisingly good. I have been riding for 45 years - everything from BM...

Re: How Did YOU Come Up With Your PCX Name ??
Ummm... I'm a boat captain (master license); my name is Jim. My boat has a name... I didn't name the scooter. I cleverly call it: the PCX.

Re: Prevent scooter falling over
I'm not a kid. In fact, I turned 60 this week. We used to live in the Black Hills (western South Dakota) where there are some great motorcycle roads. I would start out for a leisurely ride, find no traffic through Spearfish Canyon, and find myself with a big ol' smile, eating up the curves. The BMW ...

Re: How is the scooter "culture" in your area?
We lived in the western side of South Dakota (in the Black Hills) for a lot of years. Maybe because of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Harleys are prevalent. I have owned a lot of bikes over the years, including 9 Harleys, and I don't give a rat's rear what anyone else thinks of what I ride. I am havi...

Re: Got my short Givi windshield off the PCX and...
there are all kinds of positives from installing the larger windshield. I noticed the steering is smoother, no more front and side wind blasts, and no more bugs in the helmet (they splat against the windshield now). the small factory windshield was worthless and they knew that. the mid size windscr...

Re: PCX Pricing
We bought a pair of them (2013s). $3500 (each) out the door, including state sales tax. We had to pay a small amount for title and registration (license plate) to our state when we registered the bikes. There are some dealers out there who are not sticking it to their customers. I sent an e-mail to ...

Wife and I have a pair of PCX 150s... it eliminates the problem with: "No, I want to ride the PCX this time!"

Re: The DAMN Seat Latch
The first dealer where we saw the PCX didn't have a clue about it (they are a BIG multi-brand powersports multi-location dealer). The dumbass salesman whacked the heck out of the seat, trying to slam it down. My wife said, "Well, I sure don't want to buy that one." The dealer where ...

Re: PCX Pricing
EVERY bike comes to the dealer in a crate. The MSRP is the price the manufacturer sets, including what it takes to set up the bike. If people pay for a set-up charge, they are the ones being set-up. After telling one dealer I wasn't there to play games, they hit me at 40% over MSRP per bike for a pa...

Re: Hello Out There!
My "commute" consists of a 10 mile two lane, nice curves, mostly wooded. And my PCX is about 2,800 miles away. :x We are retired, but my wife likes "fun summer jobs" in interesting places. I am a boat captain, and my job this summer is driving a whale watch boat. A new owner this...

Fear of dentists? Easily sorted. Just before the work starts, reach out and get a good hold of the dentists family jewels and say "we're not going to hurt each other, are we?" What if the dentist is a lady? Or biatch if yer north american Now, you're showing your ignorance of the diversit...

Re: Me & Mr Groundhog
Nice thing about the bigger wheels on the PCX, compared to the smaller tire scooters: the gyro effect tends to keep rolling when something small and furry makes contact. I am convinced that some animals (and birds) are simply suicidal. Perhaps it is "thinning the herd"? If it were a domest...

Re: Hello Out There!
Welcome aboard, Kim! My compliments to your good taste in scooter selection and color. ;) The PCX 150 is reasonably light weight, but I think it handles crosswinds quite well for its size/weight. If you are uncomfortable with it, slow down... or, if your routing allows it, opt for a different route....

I'm a relationship counselor, not a used bike salesman. ;) Kidding aside, visit with the dealer - you never know what the offer will be until you get the offer. If it isn't what you hoped for, then post something here and CL. There is something to be said for moving the scoot quick to get the next o...

Captain Jim - I was laughing so hard when i read your post last night. Really great stuff! Of course my wife was in the same room and asked what was so funny o_O I went ahead and let her read the thread and she thought it was great. I know I let the cat out of the bag a little early, but it was too...

Seriously?? That's the best you guys could come up with?? Let her ride the PCX ("Baby, it's yours. I just want you to be happy.") THEN, trade off the Met to get what you want. Do NOT divulge the plan ahead of time. Heck, ride the Met for a short bit. A small price to pay for you to come ac...
