Re: Forza has arrived.

Nice photo essay! Looks like that dash/glovebox area extends back a lot further than the PCX. I can see where that might make the rider feel a bit cramped. It looks significantly larger in the comparison photos, but you can sure see the family resemblance. Thanks for posting the photos! Captain Jim

Re: Convincing my mom

I think there needs to be a bit of clarification... This is not meant as discounting Mel46's information, BUT (and this is important, so take this in)... chicks dig the scoots. If you find a girl who does NOT like dating on two wheels, she is NOT the girl for you. You want a girl with a spirit of a...

Re: Best Time to Buy?

I'd suggest that you go towards the end of the month or quarter. The bean counters gauge sales on "units per month" and if a dealer is close to an incentive, they may be more flexible as that time frame closes in. Otherwise, the best time to buy is right now, so you can get out there and b...

Re: Increasing mpg with each fill up?

We have the shorter Givi windshields; haven't noticed any difference in mileage due to those... but the wind on the torso is more comfortable. With a pair of these scoots, my wife's always averages about 8 mpg better than mine, riding the same terrain. And, I think she has a heavier throttle hand th...

Re: How can a 125 outperform a 150?

I can think of reasons: brake dragging, valves not adjusted right on, one of you heavier on the throttle than the other. BUT, if I ever said on a forum that my wife outweighed me (she doesn't... not by a long stretch... really  ), the bike performance would be the least of my concerns. :o I lik...

Re: You're a biker? Questions, questions

Perhaps few actions are absolutely safe One could sit on the couch and have food delivered. Of course, those people would be sad and pathetic... 'cause they aren't out having fun on two wheels! I have owned a bunch of Harleys over the years... I'm only saying that because of a t-shirt I saw at an H...

Re: You're a biker? Questions, questions

An interesting letter. I agree with most of it. But, I've been riding for 45+ years; friends and family know it's what we do. I don't have to explain myself to strangers... but, I have found that since we bought these scooters, more strangers approach us with questions. The typical questions: How fa...

Re: No scooter riding for me for awhile.

Sorry to hear about the accident. I did a research paper back in college (early 70s) that showed more than 75% of motorcycle accidents happen to those who have been riding less than 6 months or were on a borrowed bike. Yeah, check off both of those. Hope you heal fast and are able to get out on that...

Re: Just put down a payment on a PCX150!

Congrats on the new scoot. Smart for you to go through the MFS course. That 600 mile "break in" period is as much for you as it is the scoot. Just like you learned in the class, practice... get comfortable knowing how the bike will accelerate (it may surprise you), and how well it stops. T...

Re: Bought a new PCX 150 (Red) today

Congrats on the new scoot, and kudos to your fine taste on selecting the red! 8) Moving from a Harley to a PCX is an adjustment, but it won't take you much more than a trip around the block to adjust... the big thing is remembering that the left lever is NOT a clutch. Oh, and your feet may feel like...

Re: PCX for a Big Guy?

Whew! Tough conditions. Are we talking about Minnesota or North Dakota?? The problem with extreme cold like that is the least bit of moisture makes for slippery conditions, especially on road markings (stripes, crosswalks, etc). Buy the least expensive scooter and an inexpensive small car for those ...

I don't have a topbox on my PCX... but, I did spend 32 years in the photography business. Would you be from Riverton, WY?

Givi makes good stuff (additional 2¢ worth).

Re: Picking up my PCX 150 tomorrow!

Welcome aboard. We bought our PCX 150s in Phoenix - Western Honda. They were good to deal with, none of the BS add-on fees. We don't live there, but visit our daughter for a couple months each year. We learned to appreciate "urban scooting" there.

Do you have kids? Yes. Do you? Too many. I let them ride bikes to thin them out a little[/quote] THAT'S funny! :D Back in the 60s, when I got my first motorcycle, no one wore helmets. Most cars didn't have seat belts. We swam in the river. Had "firecracker wars." We played football in the...

An enclosed FeatherLite cargo trailer, behind the RV. Room for tools and bike gear, too. And kayaks.

Trophy husband. It isn't easy being pretty. And, vice versa.

We bought the PCXs 'cause my wife said, "Let's get a couple scooters." I put my foot down and said, "Yes, Ma'am."

We are 2800 miles away from the scooters, and it is beginning to get to me.

She has your safety in mind. And, she has a point. I'm assuming "next May" means that is the time you will be old enough to get your license. Statistically, you are more likely to be involved in an accident than almost anyone else. I bought my daughter her first motorcycle when she was 9 y...
