Re: Idle stop worries
I ride on average every second day, mostly city riding with the occasional long haul (100+ miles), I dont think its a seat sensor thing tho, I may be wrong on that but I dont think so...I'll try trigg123's idea, thanks for that!, and then just continue without idle stop until its time for a new batt...

Idle stop worries
Several times now I've been at a set of lights and the idle stop has failed, it's over two years old now and this has happened 4 or 5 times.. today was the worst tho as the bike wouldnt start after the incident (normally it does) after 15 mins I came back and it started, however as my helmet was sti...

moped/scooter/motorbike ?
what does one call a PCX ? I hate calling it a scooter or god forbid a moped, it just conjurs up images like this http://www.nohoscooters.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/1983-honda-aero-50cc-SN000167-540x405.jpg I dont feel comfortable saying its a motorbike either as I'd probably be seen as a l...

Re: Givi Monokey vs. Monolock on PCX 150 luggage rack
I always ignore recommended max weights, they're always lower than whats possible just to cover warranty and the like, having said that I usually put heavy items (milk etc) under the seat or in a rucksack and fill the topbox up with lighter items.

Re: more Seat hump woes
The seat cover is a good idea but I'd prefer to waterproof it, I'm fairly confident of sealing the seat with sugru (sugru.com) its a waterproof self setting rubber with some 'give', also heat and cold proof.
But yes Honda should sort it out for new models

I would go for the full hump-ectomy but I quite like the look of the hump and also the fact that you cant slide back....not to mention the cost too!

more Seat hump woes
Finally I've worked out why the hump keeps producing water, the stitching has come away at the front where the water collects, this put the sponge part in direct contact with the water and its been soaking it up for months! If it ever dries out then it'll need to be sealed up, after that some self s...

Had a slow puncture on the rear once. fortunately the tread was almost done so it was time for a new tyre anyway.

Re: SUGRU for seat hump
I'd only heard of it last week via the BBC's 'The culture show', it occured to me today to use it to seal the hump!
theres plenty of youtube videos of happy customers using it for all sorts
this one probably best describes it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fOSo_EN-y4

SUGRU for seat hump
This cool stuff is like plasticine which you can mould to whatever shape you want, it cures at room temperature over 24hours after which it is waterproof, heat/cold proof and has a slight 'give' like silicone rubber. https://sugru.com/ Looks good for a number of jobs but after failing to unsoggify m...
