I'm out of edits again, sorry about that. Off course I meant to say: "People advocating this redundancy are really doing scooter riders a disservice here. Just bear with me a second and I promise I will never bring this thing up again. I didn't know it was controversial. In Finland, as I said, ...

Re: Riding Tips

I think it's crucial to understand how a two-wheeler turns and how it is steered. Many scooter owners think that knowing this is redundant and only applies to motorcycles that are ridden fast on a track. People advocating this redundancy are really doing scooter riders a deservice here. You don't tu...

Re: Riding Tips

^ Believe or not, I heard about it the first time when I was preparing for my licence and I've been practicing it ever since. In Finland, counter steering is part of the curriculum for beginners. It really is nothing special. Just explained theoretically what everybody does even when riding a bicycl...

For more clarity watch this: OLzB5oriblk ...and read this: http://www.obairlann.net/reaper/motorcycle/beginner/countersteering.html Here's a good definiton: "Countersteering is the act of turning a two-wheeled cycle in one direction by momentarily steering the front wheel in the opposite direct...

Re: Riding Tips

Or ever unless you want to crash. Normal cornering should really be mastered first. --------------- There's no "normal cornering". That's the way a two-wheeler behaves: counter steering is used at all times (except at crawling speeds). It can be done consciously or spontaniously, but it's...

Re: Riding Tips

You should get familiar with the concept of counter steering.

At crawling speeds it is not applicable, though.

Re: Honda Lead 125

Scootersales.com (Australia) has this to say: The 125 cc engine from the PCX is one of the best lower capacity scooter engines available. Add in mega storage, a small easy to manage chassis and typical Honda build quality. Performance would be exceptional given its size and the Lead has even been fi...

Re: Honda Lead 125

I used to have the 110cc version (NHX110) for a few years. It was possibly the best scooter I ever had -- until SH300, that is. The only problem was top speed (around 80 km/h slow). I really loved the flat floorboard and the ample storage. And it was dirt cheap. Here's a photo: http://upload.wikimed...

I have no idea. Maybe it was meant to be 2009... ...given that there was almost no word or utterance without a typo or faulty grammar.

The point was -- a central locking system in a scooter is not so far-fetched an idea.

Re: Wants to install central locking - needs a locksmith sug

I think there is a small possibility the OP might be dead serious about central locking. It seems to be all the rage in India. Off course, the term implies not securing doors remotely, but rather a remote control operated ignition immobiliser system as in an anti-theft capacity. Or it could be that ...

Honda PCX rack from a Japanese site

I found a Japanese site that has an interesting rear rack for the PCX. It's more like a DIY thing.

Re: Gas to put in my PCX 150

In Thailand, they have petrol and gasohol. My old favourite regular petrol 91 was just phased out, so the only variety if you want to use pure petrol is octane 95 unleaded now. That is pretty expensive -- around 50 Baht per litre. It's not available at every pump, though. In the countryside all they...

Re: Kappa top cases???

Just make sure you use the same kind of locking mechanism/plate and you'll be safe. A Kappa (Monolock) top box will fit a Givi (Monolock) plate. However, a Monolock plate and a Monokey box won't fit (Kappa or Givi) and vice-versa.

Givi top boxes look a little more refined than Kappa.
