Re: Club PCX banned me. How about you?

Now that Eddie has provided his opinion and apology for his earlier outburst, I don't think this thread could end on a better note. unfortunatly not everybody will agree with you. It's a fact of life. Get over it. That's my final word on it. This sums up my opinion completely. I agree, so I'm going ...

Re: What a day

Thanks for the input rich, that's good to know.

I wonder how people get higher speeds than that without an aftermarket ECU then... Perhaps on a long downhill at full throttle, momentum takes them faster than the rev limiter allows or something odd like that.

Re: Ideas on Christmas presents for my Dad?

Sounds like your car wash mentality is like my wife's. She considered her car getting rained on a wash. I think the only time it ever was actually washed was when we sold it.

Burn Notice was really good, I watched through that a year or so ago. Are they still releasing new episodes?

How did we act like pissed off teenagers? I'm not sure I follow your logic here. I haven't once cussed at you. I haven't given you any reason to post so defensively in this thread. All I have done is invited you and all the forum over here, as an alternative to ClubPCX. This is after you have censor...

I wish it was that way here. As you can clearly see from me and Rainburg going back and forth, some laws over here are as clear as mud.

Re: What a day

The limiter wouldn't have to be any additional hardware, just built-in logic on the ECU. It would require no extra parts to implement. That said, I'm not sure why they'd do it either. Wooley's theory makes sense in the UK, but in the US market, there are no such requirements. I'm guessing it might b...

Re: Ideas on Christmas presents for my Dad?

Be sure to get him some nice polishing compound to go with it. No man should be without a good buffer. :)

Re: Woolley's PCX

It's usually actually 6 months to get registration and licenses moved. States honor the policies of the home state. For example, on all east coast states, you require a Class A license to tow two trailers (tandem towing), whereas the rest of the states only require that you have a license appropriat...

Re: Awesome TV series

Torrent traffic is really easy to see and monitor over the internet too, it sticks out like a sore thumb. Just downloading files looks completely innocuous though, so your methodology is much better than torrenting. I only use torrents when I'm out at a coffee shop with wifi.

Re: Ideas on Christmas presents for my Dad?

You could get him a nice box set for his favorite show, or for some of his old favorites. Someone got me the entire Monty Python Flying Circus set on DVD, and I almost had an aneurysm laughing at it for so long. Does he have a buffer to polish wax on his car? That's always a good thing to get ...

Re: Woolley's PCX

Damn, that's awful. The grass isn't always greener though, I have to pay $650 per year for parking at work. Your money gets taken from you one way or another. :( At least it sounds like the direct access course actually teaches you how to ride. I had no friends or family who knew how, so I would hav...

Re: Awesome TV series

Damn, that was gross. Looks like a funny show though. I'll have to see if it's on Netflix. We don't get cable either, just Netflix through our Wii and whatever we can find online for free or through torrents.

Re: Ideas on Christmas presents for my Dad?

Does he have any hobbies?

My dad always works in his workshop, so I usually pick up on what tool he has wanted or needs and get him that.

You could make him something too. Even though we're older, the parents still love homemade gifts the best.

Re: Woolley's PCX

 Everything is silly over here too, but not as bad. There are "classes" of license -- A, B, C, and M. But, you only have one license with different letters on it depending on what you can and can't drive. A is heavy-duty semi trucks and dump trucks, B is light cargo trucks, C is norma...

I haven't been able to load an avatar no matter if it was the correct size.I'll just keep trying though. What is the error it is giving you? The image has to be under 120px x 120px, and below a certain size (limiting you to .jpg, .gif, and .png images). If you want to add the image you're trying to...

Re: What a day

It would make sense that humidity has an effect on the engine, especially with you hitting a bit higher than my max. I can't get anywhere past 61 indicated no matter what, and it's humid here, whereas it is dry where you are. I still think the limiter is tied to speed -- if you put the scooter on th...

Ew, that sucks. Gotta keep the wife happy though. She has gotten quite a few toys and things around the house as a result of me getting the PCX, so I can relate.

Alleykat, any specific plans for the Rucks, or are you just going to run with it and see where they go?

Your S2000 is amazing.

Why weren't you sad to sell the NSX? There was a time where I would have given a kidney for one.

Re: Woolley's PCX

Did you ever get your CBT to get rid of the huge L tags? The way you guys handle licensing on the other side of the pond is even sillier than how we do it in the USA.
