Re: A fresh start

Are you keeping the V-Strom? Nope, it's going bye-bye. I got the V-Strom because I needed it to take long trips, and as a result, never rode the PCX anymore. Now that I'm a dad, there's no time for motorcycle trips since my son can't reach the pegs, so I always take the truck for long trips... So t...

I dig those headlights.

Where did the switch on the handlebars come from? It looks nice, way better than the one I used to have on the bars.

Re: Handguards

I looked a lot for handguards when I had the GIVI tall windshield and couldn't find any. I actually bought a smaller windshield primarily with the intent to find and add handguards that wouldn't have fit with the tall windshield. When you mention the risers, are you talking about the mirror risers t...

Re: Steering head races

That's not a common failure on the PCX. Have you hit a lot of potholes, or do you ride offroads? I put over 10k on my first PCX, including a bunch of offroad and city riding and never had an issue with the bearings on the steering stem. Where are you looking at parts? It shouldn't be much at all for...

I'm way too behind on this, I have donations from before Thanksgiving that I haven't conveyed my thanks for! In chronological order, thanks to dylant66, GeorgeSK, jerryrider, Coastal Mountaineer, and Quang (who does not have an account). Re: A fresh start

Thanks everyone for the kind words. :) I managed to get the oil screen bolt off with an impact gun and did the oil change. The oil was scary! :O It looked nasty, and was definitely years old. Now that it's operational, I've been on a few quick around-town. It's cold and wintry here though, so nothin...

Re: A fresh start

Thanks guys! I appreciate it! :D After writing the above post, I thought about not posting, but I'm glad I did. I feel better about getting it off my chest, especially since it's basically the reason I disappeared from here. I'm not sure I'll ever be as active again as I was when I first started thi...

A fresh start

In late December 2016, a friend of mine sent me a Craigslist link to a PCX. It was white. 2011. Same as the one I've missed the last couple of years. It didn't run. It had fairing damage on both sides. Even though it had just a smidge over 3k miles, the rear tire was absolutely bald. It had no maint...

Re: Mel46 - Have You Been Riding

Sounds like we need to go riding soon Mel! I bet Freddi's scooter could use a good workout, and I'm always up for riding something smaller than the VStrom. ;)

Since I'm not on here often, you can always text me. :D

I think this is a bit close to politics. Let's keep the news, politics, and religion elsewhere. Closing this.

Paul, Love your videos, so jealous of where you live and get to ride, hate the Christian shit. At 8:29 you promised not to preach anymore. Will you make good on that promise so I can continue to watch your vlogs? Please let me know; otherwise we're done here. Johnny Johnny -- This sort of intoleran...

Re: How do you put air in your tires?

Everyone's got their own opinions on how much/little things should be checked. Honda advises you check the tire pressure every ride. GN2 chooses not to. I'm sure the truth lies somewhere inbetween.

Jge64 and GN2, please be respectful of each other, even if you disagree.

Re: Help!! Stalling Issues PCX150

It could be an issue with the emissions system, specifically your gas cap or evap system. Next time it happens, open the gas cap and see if it sucks air hard when you do.

Re: PCX won't start in cold

Not starting in the cold is almost always a battery issue. I know I'm beating a dead horse with how many people have said that, but I have experienced it firsthand with a couple of my cars, won't start at 0700, but will start fine at 1700 after work when it's 20F warmer.
