Re: Bringing her home on Saturday!

Quick question for you: what is the big "L" for on the front of the bike? We don't have that type of thing in America so I have no idea what it means. It obviously is not the license plate. I can see that on the back.

Re: She's arrived

We park ours on the sidewalk at the grocery store or other stores we go to. I think you will find this scooter to be the most fun you have ever had. Yes you have to get it serviced, and yes the tires wear out faster than on a car, but the fun factor is well worth it.

Re: Ground anchor problems? (tarmac/concrete)

I have a friend who worries about his BMW bike constantly, so he dug a hole about 2 feet deep and a foot or so wide, poured a bag of Quik-Crete in, wet it, shoved a long eye bolt into it and let it dry for a few days before looping a big chain through it and attaching 3 large locks to it. He said th...

Re: Wave retraction

You must have some very unfriendly bikers there. We almost always get the wave. We have a full windscreen and a tail box but those shouldn't make any difference to a biker passing by. What I have noticed is that the scooters that look like a Vespa don't get any waves. We even had a guy on a rice roc...

Re: Bringing her home on Saturday!

Your bike is white so I am guessing that it is a 125. We have a 2013 and our choices were red or black for the 150. Either bike is great. In fact, it is the same bike but the 150 has a bit more horsepower. The 150 has finally been freeway certified in the USA, and my wife and I take it on the road q...

Re: Honda PCX Manual

I have a feeling that the location we suggested to you may be either out of business or just offline for a little while . Though I have a beautiful manual that I bought from them, I could tell that it was a copy. Since that is illegal, they may be in trouble or waiting till everything cools down. Th...

Re: How do I work out mpg?

Obviously the 100mpg figure has to be optimal. If you ride full throttle all the time and have a lot of stop and go traffic it will affect your mileage, just like in a car. If you travel at a reasonable speed on a road that is a standard road, not a dirt farm road, then you should get close to or on...

Re: How do I work out mpg?

And you are already close to what you should average. It seems as though most PCX 150s are getting close to 100mpg. Ours has been between 100 MPG and 110 MPG, depending on the roads we take and the traffic. Sometimes we get less than the 100 MPG average but it all seems to average out.

Re: Locked my keys in my car...

My wife locked her keys under the seat of her PCX. Since we ride together, I had to get on my Burgman and drive home to get the spare. After that we decided that each of us will keep the other's spare key in their bike at all times. Since that decision we haven't had a problem.

Re: Brand new pcx 150 - 53 miles!!

Get the Givi tall windscreen. We have the standard Givi screen, the tinted one, and it just moves the wind to the helmet instead of the chest. The tall one seems to stop it all.

So why couldn't you change clothes when you arrive at work? Then it wouldn't matter what you wore. Buy some Kevlar pants and a good jacket.

Re: Replacement Windshield

We have the Givi tinted standard replacement windscreen, and my wife is only 5 ' tall. Yet she complains about wind in her face and buffeting of her helmet. I attached an extension to it which brings the height up to around that of the tall Givi. She is quite happy with it that tall. We are consider...

I love the look. If we can get a good windscreen it is worthwhile for use to look at it. Does anyone know if it is a single or a twin cylinder bike?

Just curious, but what is that big 'L' on the front of your bike? It kind of takes away from the beauty of the bike.

Re: PCX Windscreen list

By the way, that doesn't mean that Competition Accessories will add a shipping charge for this windscreen, In fact, it is on back order and they aren't charging shipping on it. (We are thinking about getting one.) The whole point was that sometimes shipping charges can make the difference between bu...

Re: PCX Windscreen list

Just wanted to mention that I bought my regular Givi windscreen (D322) from Compacc.com and the price was cheaper than any other site....and it had free shipping. However, I was recently looking to purchase a tail box and they tacked on shipping, so I found Sporttour.com, which was a little more exp...

Re: Day One with my new PCX 150 !

Excuse me! I am an old fart and I ride a Burgman, and I do wave. My wife has a 2013 red PCX 150 and we ride our bikes together, everywhere. The little PCX keeps up with me quite nicely. Granted I only have the Burgman 400, but still, it has quite a few more cc's than the pcx and yet that little thin...
