Re: Is it reasonable to take a PCX on a cross country trip
Here is a picture of my bike. Notice the gel cushion and shock absorbent styrofoam back rest. These make my ride extremely comfortable...along with my custom seat. :) Do something like this and your ride will be unbelievably comfortable for long rides. I went on a long, almost 500 miles, ride in one...

Yesterday was similar but I chose to stay at home and concentrate on outside maintenance, such as our deck. Soon it will be Spring and we will have to think about possibly painting it. Home maintenance never ends.

Re: Electrical Issue
Not sure he can change to led. I bought a led bulb for my tail light but then strange thins started to happen, such as the brake light staying on after I released the bike lever. I put the regular bulb back in and all was well, so now I have extra led lights around the regular light. All works well ...

Re: PCX power delivery problem
Hmmm...I am not the whisperer on this forum but it does sound like you have plugged in one of the sensors wrong or loosely. Check to make sure you didn't loosen the connector going to the ECM. Then walk through each and every connector you had to touch, unplug, or move. Hopefully you didn't bend a p...

Thank you for updating us. It is good to know. I will note this for future questions that are posted here. It is definitely something worth noting, though I must say that I don't recall anyone else having a final drive problem on this forum. Thank you again.

Re: Electrical Issue
I have a 2013 model and can tell you that the bulb is equivalent to an 1157 in its function...dual filiment. It is not hard to change. Just a bit of dexterity needed. As for the other things mentioned, check the battery. It may be under charged or getting on with age. Cold weather will cause that ty...

Re: Engine light on and Speedo not moving!
There are multiple switches that are susceptible to weather problems, including the side stand switch and the (depending on where you are) Start/Stop or Idle/Stop...or whatever it is called there. Spray some WD-40 in the switch and move it back and forth multiple times. You really need to take that ...

Re: Engine light on and Speedo not moving!
Sounds like you may have crud in the switches and possibly the speed sensor. The seed sensor is at the back wheel. Check the wires that go into it. Use WD-40 to clean your switches.

Girl scout cookies have arrive.
Well, as grandparents we support our grandchildren. Part of that involves buying the Girl Scout cookies, which helps the troops, supposedly. This year we were REALLY disappointed with them, though. The order arrived today. We hurriedly opened one of the boxes, which usually contain a full load of sa...

Re: Got my LEDs fitted!
All in all though, I do believe any added lighting, especially LED, is a great improvement for those who ride alot. I have LEd aux lights and would not ride without them turned ON, day or not. My aux lights were not cheap either, though they seem to be much cheaper...which says CHINESE NOW. Glad I g...

Looks just like what I went through yesterday...vaccinations in an orderly and safe fashion. The nurses made sure we were taken care of safely. Round one done. Round two should give me a mild case of flu like symptoms. Great. Can't wait.

Re: Engine light on and Speedo not moving!
Yes, but also be aware of the LED control unit. If the engine light comes on and it is part of the display, does the bike start? If the bike runs then that eliminates a lot of the wiring. Then you can pull the speedometer and check the connectors on it and to it. However, if everything else on the s...

That may be an older wiring diagram that you are looking at. You have the LED version.
Try this one.

Re: ECU out on 1022 PCX125 with 8000 miles?
Are you in the northern part of the state or the southern part? Wet weather sometimes places havoc on switches. See if you can take the start/stop switch apart and spray it with some WD-40. Then work the switch back and forth a bit . Make sure your battery is good, and then go through the start proc...

Taking a ride on the scooter is good therapy to cope . . ..  8) Oh, but I wish I could! Winter is here, unfortunately, and the weather is just not cooperating. In the Spring there will be bikes out on the roads just about every day, but in the Winter it is just too cold and wet. Spring ...

Re: Honda pcx 125 2015
There are a lot of things that can cause these problems, but before we get into them would you mind going into your profile and adding your location. This will help because climate affects bikes. For example, if you live in a wet environment you may find that the switches have moisture in them. I am...
