Re: Specifics needed for getting a taller windscreen

One of the nice things about buying from Revzilla is their reasonable return policy. If the Givi I ordered does not easily mount to my scooter I will just return it to Revzilla. Then I might consider the much higher cost Honda windscreen and mounting hardware.

Re: Specifics needed for getting a taller windscreen

I've bought a lot from Revzilla and have always had a good experience with them, so thanks for reminding me to go to them for a windscreen. I checked their site and found the universal mount windscreen from Givi and ordered one. The price seems right and even I should be able to mount it to the hand...

Specifics needed for getting a taller windscreen

I have a 2019 PCX150 and I think that I now want to add a windscreen. I have read mention on this forum about aftermarket windscreens, but would appreciate knowing by make and model what you have bought that would be applicable to my scooter, and what your think about it once mounted and ridden. I w...

Re: Any news on the 2020 Honda PCX?

It seems pretty logical that Honda would adapt some changes that it seems most current owners want to see, such as a better seat, and a boost in engine size, but my experience with other Honda products, and other manufacturers both foreign and domestic, is that all the discussion by owners goes pret...

Re: First relatively long ride: impressions

Got out again on the PCX for a nice long ride, again about 50 miles. I really will have to do something about the seat, my butt was burning like crazy. And when I read that the PCX150 is supposed to be able to do 70mph, I think that must be with some tiny people riding it. I'm 200 pounds, and today ...

Re: First relatively long ride: impressions

After an accident with some nerve contusion and a lot of numbness, I bought one of these as a temporary measure: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tucano-Urbano-Cool-Fresh-Scooter-Seat-Cover/192898156571?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 It's a cheap solution if you're only oc...

You might want to contact.him to see if he does scooters....
I contacted Spencer and he already replied that he does not work on scooter seats. But thanks for the suggestion.

Re: First relatively long ride: impressions

I'm 5'7 or 8 (I know I am shrinking as I age) and have a 29 inch inseam that used to be 30. The seat is fine for me, but my wife is closer to 5'4".

First relatively long ride: impressions

I've had my PCX150 for several weeks now, but today was the first ride that I took that lasted over an hour. I did 51 miles, mostly on local country roads and a bit on city streets. Overall this scooter really, really impresses me. I won't compare it to my motorcycle, a 920 pound behemoth with an 18...

Re: Just a heads up. Our riding time is coming close to an e

Most of my riding life has been a movement from small engine two wheel vehicles to larger engine bikes. I started with a Honda Elite 125 in the early 1980's right around when I turned 40. I had wanted to ride for years, since I was about 18, but didn't get to do it until I bought the Elite. From the...

Re: How many miles do you have on your PCX

I am pretty sure the engine could do it. I'm not sure about the rest of the bike though. It would need to be maintained, just like any other bike would, but I think it could make it to 100k miles and beyond. I think there are some on this forum who have made it to or close to 50k miles, and the bik...

Re: How many miles do you have on your PCX

What possible reason does the UK have for showing the age of a vehicle on its license plate? Maybe I should not expect any sense from a country that drives on the WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD! But I still have a fond spot in my heart for the Brits, and I do care for the Queen (but not so much the rest of...

Re: How many miles do you have on your PCX

My 2019 has 200 miles so far. Just another hundred to get the first oil change, add a windscreen and a pigtail for the battery so that I can hook up my Battery Tender without taking the battery out of the scooter.

Tomorrow, June 17, is Ride to Work Day

Whether or not you are still working, try to get out on your scooter or motorcycle tomorrow to show our numbers on Ride to Work Day. This is good way to raise awareness of car and truck drivers to the presence of scooters and motorcycles.

Re: PCX Ride from NJ to CA - Part I

As I get older my parameters for weather and riding have narrowed. I will go out when it is as low as 50 after a long winter of not riding, and then once its warm I might not go until and if it is at least 60. In the hot summer months, if it goes over 92 I pretty much stop riding. At 93, the air blo...

Re: PCX Ride from NJ to CA - Part I

Denver may not be the issue. Leaving Denver and heading West, the grades in the foothills can be very steep. Using my Dodge Durango to pull a small camping trailer, which I have no trouble pulling at 70 mph plus on level ground, kept me to a top speed of about 40 at times. Similar grades on secondar...

Re: PCX Ride from NJ to CA - Part I

Remember that Denver gets snow in the summer some times. (I have been in every state except Alaska, many times in my life. There is a lot to see but be prepared for anything.) Not since July 1872 and even then it didn't settle! :) (Lived there for 30 years) Now, up in the mountains a little differe...
