Re: NJ to CA PCX 150 ride completed - Part II
thanks for the detailed list. Appreciate you getting back to me so quickly. I see the focus on tires which I wasn't thinking so much about since I have newer tires but will definitely prepare for now.

Re: NJ to CA PCX 150 ride completed - Part II
Not really sure what you mean, you you. I'm planning on driving through some large tracts of rural land, lumber company lands, where there is spotty cell phone service and not a lot of people. I wouldn't mind some advice from those who have traveled long distance on the PCX on what may be common pro...

Really enjoyed the photos from your trip last summer. Thanks for posting. I saw that someone had asked you about the tools you took with you on that journey. I am interested in that as well. I am going to be taking a ride through all 6 New England states this August. I have new Michelins that probab...

Hope you keep coming back and giving us updates on your ADV. I'm really interested and would like an owners view point over time. they need to bring them to the US.

Went riding a few days ago for a couple of hours. hands got cold but otherwise it was great to get out there. Windshield made a big difference.

Re: New guy here
Hi Welcome, I have driven with my smaller scooter, Honda Ruckus, on a rack with no troubles at all. Good distances too. But so far I have only used my utility trailer for the PCX. I just figured since I have the trailer I might as well use it. The rack obviously does keep the bike nice and close to ...

Re: How to hit rev limiter with 13 gram rollers? Add windscr
I put a National tall (their mid size) windshield on my '16 PCX and immediately got another few MPG out of it. Plus way more comfortable to ride. I do duck into it when cold or hitting higher speeds. I rarely ride on the highway except to cross the local bridge over the CT river. usually there is a ...

thanks for the info Fish. I think you are probably right about going with heated gloves instead of the cuffs.

Re: PCX Essential upgrades video
has anyone used those Oxford hand covers or something like them? Are they effective? I like to ride as long as possible through the seasons and the one thing I haven't been able to keep warm are my hands.

This was my first car, though no where as nice as this one. It was a used Telephone Company vehicle. As basic as you can get with "3 on the tree", cracked windshield, bad front end, and foot pump for washer fluid. Cost = $100.

looks like a pterodactyl. Haven't seen those in the skies since the early 70s when different substances made you see better.

I'm pretty sure he said it was leaded but I'll double check. Thanks for the feedback.

Gas in Winter
Hi, My buddy is a small plane pilot. At his hanger they have fuel that is leaded with no added ethanol. He uses it in his small engines and his Chinese scooter. He says it's good for smaller engines such as my 49cc Ruckus and 150 PCX. He also states without the ethanol it is a good gas to use during...

Re: I said goodbye to my second favorite dog today
Sorry to hear of your loss of your two companions. Our dogs and cats do become quite a part of us and we miss them all when they pass on. Our recent loss was our cat of 12 this August. Kept our home mouse free and we appreciated it.
My condolences to you and your wife.

Re: Broken down :(
Has anyone used a Polini belt in their PCX? And what is the mileage that a belt should be replaced? Does the city versus long rides use make much of a difference?
Thanks for any info.

Re: Lessons of the first 1000 miles
Totally agree with you Brice. I started riding a Ruckus about 4 years ago. Thought I would use it sparingly but found it was so much fun I used it for everything. All the same points you mentioned. Added the PCX after reading a lot about it and doing a test ride. Great bike. I let all my biker frien...

Re: Windshield or not?
I installed a National Tall windshield (clear) on my PCX about a month ago. It comes to about my chin so I can see over it easily and rarely need to look through it. It helps to remind me to keep my head up and my eyes focus farther up the road instead of right in front of me. But it has also been g...

Re: Top Luggage Box
Pete7485 The SH150i topbox fit onto my '15 Honda PCX rack perfectly. No change of rack needed. BUT when I brought the bike in for a tire change the dealer said the racks from 2016 were on recall and replaced it for me for free. It had felt pretty sturdy but happy for any new parts that are made to b...

Went to school in Unity ME end of 70s. China was not that far away. When people asked where Unity was I liked to tell them “near Freedom and Liberty”.
