Re: Always impressed with the PCX
Agree............its a sweet ride...........stock parts are very reasonable. Sometimes wish it was smoother riding but an air wolf or
some other gel cushion can help there. Forza is more capable/comfortable , but....for me, the PCX is more fun. And I wish I was
68 again! : )

Re: Belt chatter?
Are you sure its the belt? When you had it apart to "treat" the belt, did you happen to take the clutch Bell off and clean the dust out of it? One good thing about the PCX belt, its very reasonable [$30.00 or so ] I'd clean the dust off the bell and the clutch pads and throw a new belt on ...

Re: Can a Honda Forza 300 engine break?
The Forza has very good engine braking in normal riding conditions. Even down hill, quite effective.
Your riding conditions will certainly be more of a challenge but, think the Forza will do better than most
in that regard.

Could it be that the frequently wet roads..... across the pond.... have something to do with your longer lasting tires??

Seat latch is cable actuated. [not battery dependent] You do have to turn key to "unlock" position, though.

Re: standard clutch lining thickness
Can't help with original thickness...........Have original Clutch shoes on my 2013 PCX. Recently had a look at them when doing a belt check & clean. Still plenty left at 60K [miles] Just back roads riding, mostly so they haven't worked very hard. Stop & go, probably different result.

Prior to the "virus" often wore my full face helmet in stores, and still do. Have never been questioned or denied service. Have asked several Police if there is any directive in that regard...........none that they knew of, but they thought it was acceptable. Prior to the virus. shield up....

Re: 2019 & 2020 Maintenance Intervals
Follow the owners manual. You'll save a bundle if you are handy........ to do the other recommended service yourself.
This advice applies if you live in the USA. Other countries "may" require service by Dealer to keep warranty in effect??
PCX is a great ride.......you already know!

"I checked mine on 2018 at around 1000 miles or so".
Seems..... the factory is hit or miss with the initial adjustment. Once properly set...and running fine, maybe leave well enough alone?

Interval
Pretty sure, few of us adhere to the "2500" mile [recommended] interval for valve adjustments. Personally, my interval is yet to be determined. Bought my 2013 PCX in 2015 with a bit less than 2200 miles on it. Early on, bought the sealer for the valve cover planning to get er done. Since t...

Have heard [read] that a drive belt should be "broken in" for 50 miles or so, before hard service. Just a thought??

Shouldn't be embarrassed, but understand. Had wondered also,if previous owner put extra thick oil in there to mask the knock?? Would have thought that the Dealer would have some responsibility. Maybe you could take the Dealer to small claims court?? If he didn't give me some satisfaction.....think t...

Re: Poor gas mileage with Forza
My experience [Forza] has been low 80's in winter/ High 80's in summer.[mpg] Lightly traveled country roads with 30-45 mph speed limits. Avoiding interstates has allot to do with it. Sure it would be in the 70's [mpg] maybe lower, at higher speeds. Occasionally have spirited moments. Stop light &quo...

Higher than normal [about 160 psi] compression can cause engine knock/ping.

Disregard if already done. [Compression check]?
