Re: No new scooters this morn?
Not Christmas but a couple weeks later came home with a 2014 Honda Forza.

New 2014 Honda Forza
Just upgraded to a 2014 Honda Forza from my PCX. It definitely has juice but wow is it heavy!! Makes me almost wish I had gone for an Xmax. Lighter and more powerful but also 3,000 more new. Once I get going I love riding it. I feel almost like I’m riding a mini touring scooter and my feet actually ...

Re: Hi
We got a steal on the SH. It was in perfect condition with only 477 miles on it. Lady rode it back and forth to work 1 mile each way. I got my husband an after market top box so he could store his helmet and didn’t have to bring it inside all the time. I think he is starting to get used the SH. I do...

Re: Hi
So my husband finally got on board with getting his permit. He now rides a 2010 Honda SH 150i. It fits him well since he is 6 feet. I can barely reach the ground since I’m 5’4”. He is a little nervous at going faster speeds but he should get over that pretty quickly. I still prefer my PCX, but the r...

Re: Hi
I did finally complete and pass the motorcycle safety course and now have my full license. I used my scooter, though I did try the motorcycle first. Simply put, I hate shifting. Automatic for me. And as I don’t plan on riding a big Harley, Honda makes a nice automatic that might be in my future.

Re: Bay Area, CA - new PCX with ABS on backorder
I started out the safety course on their bike but ended up finishing on mine. Shifting was hard for me with an hurt hip. I will take test tomorrow on my scooter but at least I got a feel for the motorcycle. Later I might someday upgrade to a Honda CTX 700 DCT. That has no gear levers but looks like ...

Re: Bay Area, CA - new PCX with ABS on backorder
In PA, you can ride anything with a permit, but cannot ride at night or carry a passenger. I might use their bikes. But there have also been people who used their scooters.

Re: Bay Area, CA - new PCX with ABS on backorder
In PA, you get a full unrestricted license if you take course or test on 150cc scooter, but it would save me having to trailer my scooter to course site. It will be warm this weekend but sucks that it will be raining Sunday. I don’t relish the thought of being wet all day.

Re: Bay Area, CA - new PCX with ABS on backorder
I bet you can’t wait to try it out. I have a 2019 Honda PCX as well, but one without ABS. I’ve had it since November, but Pennsylvania weather hasn’t been conducive to riding until today. My husband and I went on a 50 mile cruise around our area. He rides a modified Buddy scooter, but still can’t ri...

Re: Gas to put in my PCX 150
I am new PCX owner. The only recommended oil in manual is 10W-30 which is good for cold weather riding. But should I use a different oil in the summer? It can get pretty hot in Pennsylvania where I live.

Re: Hi
The seat on this scooter is so comfortable to sit on. My Zuma’s Seat was very uncomfortable after a while. The PCX feels like a nice recliner by comparison. Of course the longest I’ve ridden is half an hour but even that distance on the Zuma seat hurt my bottom and back.

Re: Hi
Big bear-thanks for the info about taking test or course on my scooter. I think I will still learn the motorcycle in case I ever need to drive one. I learned to drive with a manual car so clutches and shifting are not completely new to me. But it is different in a car since pedals are in front of yo...

Re: Hi
I will look into a larger windshield down the line. Are they easy to install? As I said I’m not into tinkering but if my husband could do it easily, I might be able to talk him into it. I will also look into a service manual, but I will probably let the dealer do the first major 600 mile service. It...

Re: Hi
Thanks for all the tips. Most of the riding I do are in roads where max speed limit is between 45 and 55 mph. I don’t plan on riding on I95 on this thing, but for most of the local roads, it will be perfect. And there are usually side roads if I really wanted to ride somewhere that was mostly access...

I live in Spring City, Chester County, Pennsylvania, ISA. If there are any local scooter clubs, I would be interested in meeting up with other riders.

No, I’m Not diehard who rides I’m freezing temps, so I may have to put her up for a while and I will be overseas for a the entire month of January, so I’m thinking I need to winterize her. I use the Star Tron fuel stabilizer and we have a batter tender we use if we aren’t going to be riding for a wh...

Yeah it does take a little getting used to, but I learn quickly. I’m hyper sensitive about safety, so no worries there.

Re: The number one reason you love PCX
This scooter is more comfortable for me to ride than the Yamaha Zuma 50cc I had before, plus I wanted more power for hills and such. The Zuma was a great scooter to learn the basics of riding, but the PCX gives me the power I was looking for going uphill faster than 20 mph, if I was lucky. And it is...

Hi
I am a relative newbie for scooters in general and the PCX particularly. I just got my PCX last Friday, so I’ve had it a week. I just got my PA motorcycle permit and will take the Beginner course next week (weather permitting) or in the spring. I got to ride a few times before it got too cold. I lov...
